grafh is nice on this. i think pap’s is better cuz his voice is stronger and is more direct while grafh is more laid back. Pap’s style is better for addressing such an issue.

Because lets be real, if none of the MC’s said anything then mofos would be complaining that rappers don’t even care about what goes on in their own hood. When you think about it, that’s what the culture was created from and USED to embody as a whole. Conveying a message to the masses about what’s goin’ on in their reality. ^I’m startin’ to believe that you don’t read these threads, lol. Yeah, I heard about it though. Me and the crew were talkin’ about that in the stu last night. We also talked about how there are so much politics that got involved with the awards before Justo passed. Especially since how Kayslay, Drama, Green Lant’n, and a few other of the same names keep poppin’ up every year for the same awards. Not only that, how is it that Kayslay (who I THINK has a hand in either Mixtapekings.com or Mixtapemurda.com) and Clinton Sparks (Best Club DJ of the year… owns Mixunit.com) are allowed to run those respective websites with no intervention at all. By no means am I sayin’ they should be shut down because I think the RIAA gettin’ involved with a lot of this stuff is just bullshit anyway. But what I am sayin’ is that how come the “known” DJ’s are allowed to run these sites with no intervention or interruption from Big Brother. Especially since they are being sold for a retail price when it’s “allegedly” For Promotional Use Only. But then they lock up “bootleggers” on the street and have upped the charges to pirating music as a felony.

^On Grafh’s behalf, I can honestly say that his flow has slowed down tremendously since he first popped up in ’02 when the Unit was floodin’ the street with mixtapes. Kayslay kinda gave him a lil’ co-sign and he ran with it since then. The major complaint was that people couldn’t understand him because he was rappin’ too fast and his metapahors were so intricate that you couldn’t catch ‘em if your ear wasn’t trained to listen to that. You should definitely ask KLO/Caliber to hook you up with some of his older mixtapes.

As for Serius Jones, he has a laidback persona that I fucks with (n/h) and his rhymes are a beast. I admit that it sounds like he’s talkin’ for the most part because he doesn’t add any of the lil’ quirks in his rhyme scheme or stretch vowels and stuff like that like other MC’s do. But he has joints on his album like the jail skit/musical montage and his subject matter that makes up for it. Plus he’s witty.

^^NO. its a lot more complicated than that. very very quick breakdown:

if you are trying to register your trademark you have to actually file it with the PTO(patent trademark office) show that you either are using the trademark in commerce or you intend to use it (there are specific fact patterns to prove that you are doing either one) and then the PTO decides if your trademark can be registered and etc. rejections might be if your shit is generic, its merely descriptive, someone else is using it already, your trademark is functional and a couple of other things. if you have a trademark that is not registered and you are using it in commerce it MAY stand up in court depending on if there has been a bona fide use in commerce and some other factors.

if you want more info about exactly what to do you should hit me on email or something because its a lot more detailed than all of that.

^^nah, if its goods, use has to be in commerce–which means you are selling a product that has your trademark on it. if your trademark is on a service you provide it has to be displayed in the advertising of the service and the servicee has to be rendered in commerce or rendered in more than one state.

A year under me in HS so I recon 25/26. But the important thing to remember is that he lost his life for “nothing”. Just like Sean Bell. This type of thing goes on everyday but, if you’re not in a Major City it gets unheard. He was a real strong brother. Recited the “I Have A Dream” speech with so much passion at the Black History Month Assembly. He had great potential. But you know how the streets go.

^^^No weight..that works for mainly copyrights..such as rhymes, poems, etc/..A trademark is more complex, patents and trademarks require an accurate depiction of the mark to be used in commerce.
