Oh yeah, Jay v Weezy is like Imac>ZX Spectrum. No point debating it. However it is clearly indicative of the state of our sonic landscape and those that inhabit it. I hate to admit it but Nas is right. Hip-Hop is dead. Now there is just (c)Rap music.

I’m all for personal opinion but even if we go lyric for lyric Jay still comes out over and on top of Wayne. I’m not talking about sales now I’m talking about what makes up an emcee, Wayne is just beginning, Jay has peaked so how can anyone claim Wayne is better? I can understand potential but what does Weezy have asides punchlines? They only get you so far…

It’s just fashionable right now to say something against Jay. It’s like the new black, “Hey Jay-Z, you SUCK!” everyone is on the ‘hate’ bandwagon now.
