Weezy Is Hitting The Vicodin Again
Ok, so you know how Lil Wayne has a Vicodin problem right? Well MTV points to an interview in the new issue of Complex that he clearly sat for while he was high as fuck. Here he talks about Jay-Z:
"I don’t like what he’s saying about how he had to come back because hip-hop’s dead and we need him," Wayne said. "What the f— do you mean? If anything it’s reborn, so he’s probably having a problem with that. You left on a good note, and all of the artists were saying, ‘Yo, this is Jay’s house. He’s the best.’ Now he comes back and still thinks it’s his house. … It’s not your house anymore, and I’m better than you."
Calm down Weezy, stop taking the 3rd verse of Trouble to the titty. For the record I occasionally enjoy some of Dwayne Carter’s music, and I kept my mouth shut about the Best Rapper Alive shit, but I’m not buying this shit he’s selling.
I’m sure many of you would now like to explain to me why he’s right, so let’s hear it.

Peace Eskay. I’ve been coming to this site for a minute. Never posted a commit til now. Just wanted to say that you are on top of game and this is fastly becoming one of my favorite places on the net.
As far as Wayne goes…to me he is a good rapper/emcee. His flow gets better all the time. His comment on Jay was a little sideways but like you said he probably took offense to Jay’s lyrics on Trouble. Jay is one of his idols so I guess he felt Jay was subliminally taking a shot at him. “Best rapper alive”…lol, but he is nice with his so he gets respect for that.

eskay, I’m usually with you, but I don’t know what you’re thinking with that one. Between Tha Carter duece, Dedication deuce, that shit with his fake dad and Weezyana, he’s dropped more good shit recently than pretty much anyone else I can think of while Jay has hung out with Bill Gates, gone on some bono-type save the world shit, forgot to market half the talent on his label, mailed in some quarter-assed guest spots, and released a borderline terrible album, probably the worst of his career. I know fucking Rolling Stone gave it three and half out of four, but I think they gave KFed one and a half, so that’s a bit skewed.
Plus he’s much more coherent in interviews while hammered on Vicodin than I would be. I might’ve brought up Joe Camel and that doll.

as stated before, i’m admittedly a Jay stan… but i agree with kingdouche:

i’ve been reading these posts for awhile now, and i have to say that this site is the illest. big ups to eskay and nahright.
about the youth and their new stars- i’m 19 and hear all my friends on the whole Dipset this Dipset that. They think Dedication 2, The Suffix, Killa Season etc are all classics. These dudes are quick to shit on Jay, Nas, Ghostface and all the other dudes repping hip hop. I like Wayne. He’s nice bc He clowns on the mic and that is why he is entertaining. BUT He should not ever go at Jay. I guess this is what it has come to.

only problem is this generation aint listening to him. sales aren’t too high and even though sales don’t measure quality music, it does indicate how many ppl you reach. alot of ppl i know only know Lupe cuz of Daydreamin on 106 and park and only comment on the sample and hook. Wayne IS better than Jay at this point in their respective careers. Kingdom Come is fucking adult contemporary (word to slothra) and Tha Carter II and even Like Father, Like Son put it to shame.
