RD easily one of the best rap albums of all time
^^the album was great, but because of the success that Jay’s had over the last couple of years RD gets more acclaim then it should. For an album to be in the “greatest of all time†and it being the artist’s first album out, it should at the time launch the Rapper straight to the top of hip hop (i.e. nas /illmatic, biggie/RTD, even DMX/whatever his first album was) but when RD came out it, it was like “the dudes nice but he aint nas/biggie/pac.†but now that Jay is agruably on top of the food chain people get to thinking that his first album is better than it really was….just an opinion…
^^well said. Jay did come in at a time when no one was really checking for him. But that shouldn’t take away from what he did on RD. At that time the spotlight definitely wasn’t his though. But even today, there has been some great albums released this year that no one even knows exists cuz everybody is so caught up and focused on Jay, Nas, Game and whoever.

I pre-ordered it. Only thing I have played so far is Madden and the ish is NICE. Cross your fingers and hope I don’t have any issues with it.
