[...] If you’re unfamiliar with it, “Lost” is one of Coldplay’s hits from this summer. Jay goes in over the uptempo/radio version and uses a verse from the Kingdom Come sessions. You might recognize it as the second of five verses he spit for Flex. Those first three verses were slated to be on “Most Kings” (the ode to his Basquiat), but it never saw the light of day. (The other two verses, later entitled “Corporate Takeover”, ended up on a Green Lantern mixtape) [...]

[...] Now I’m So Enlightened I Might… Â Â Â If you have any kind of intelligence you’re not sitting in front of the television, watching the shitfest which is the Grammy’s but FUCK I just happened to be passing by the T.V. (lol) and saw Kanye literally bring the roof down. I’ll admit, I’ve seen his performances numerous times, and I get quite fed up of artists flaunting their (lack of) talent only to sell concert seats… but KanYe definitely reached what he was trying to prove with Graduation… Stadium Status. But on some Michael Jackson shit… (at least, I think that was what he was trying to prove). Â Â Â The Stronger performance was airtight… having Daft Punk (or were they) up there was the frosting on the cake (sidebar: I need more Jordans in my life), and eskay tells me Stronger already one something (WE MAJOR!). Now I’m still realizing how impeccably hard Graduation really was, but fuck my life @ the Hey Mama performance…which was definitely the coup de grace. I pussied out of dropping my “Chi-State of Mind, Lost My Momma, Lost My Mind” post but I do not know how he pulled that off, and probably have been pulling it off all over Europe. Â Â Â I say that to say this… KanYe and P. dropped this poster last week, and I have everyone asking me when the dates/places are, because I would usually know this shit… and I find myself not wanting to look for it because I know that nobody ever comes to Montreal. Now, if ever the Tour goes well, and Rihanna makes it rain on KanYe or whatever she does to people… and the power’s that be decide to add a leg to the end of the tour… and if, let’s say those powers are reading this, they really need to hold me down. I can bring 1 or 2 thousand of my friends but the rest will already be lined up for tickets and shit. Anyway, fuck the bartering, I’ll probably just hitchhike my way to the Air Canada Center or Madison Square Garden shows, but still… doesn’t hurt to ask. But back to the topic at hand… that Hey Mama tribute was amazing. My moms was damn near in tears when he was hunched over. He took what had happened on stage at Europe, focused that energy, and re-invested in what he thought would be creatively awesome… and it truly was. It was too crazy at one point, ‘Ye looked up at the camera and I was like shit… I’m on T.V. like it’s just you and me. Â Â Â Aight that’s it from me. Back to the regular programming. Catch me on Nah Right, Sundays to Sundays. But it’s funny because two years ago I was actually watching the Grammy’s beginning to end, and Kanye was like: “Yeah, I can’t wait to get on MySpace and see what everyone thinks”. I was like… what’s myspace? I don’t know if that’s a win or a loss, but it’s just funny how things have changed since. BONUS: Dawg - I can’t keep sayin G.O.O.D. music the greatest latest Stuntin’ out the middle of nowhere like Vegas From the Chi, the city of hella haters Where we keep rising to the top like elevators Hi haters, I’m back of hiatus… I feel just like you, I mean even I hate us Turn the radio down I mean every song Yeezy got a vision that’s clearer than Evian BONUS #2: Great Hovito going in on the Grammy Family beat.
The more and more I transform to Gordon Gekko

Had me right with Rubert Murdoch

huh???!!!!

game over right?

one.

ps. the next thing is the ultimate artist, it will not be mediated.
it will be from the heart of the culture. it will be a child. for sure.
so this here w/ hov is dope, definately, moreso what he's doin in
the backend at the same time. so he got a hell of an advantage
over anyone challengin him. but after he's done or whatever, the
next thing is the ultimate artist, he gotta be doin more then just
rappin or singin or dancin, hov keep doin your thing.
