The usual Nas hate I see……..1. The track is dope. I don’t care if it uses the same sample from Thief’s Theme which is certified d.o.P.E. I’m just thankful that no other artist sullied the track prior to Godson b/c the beat is hard. 2. Nasir gives our younger viewers (don’t get distracted, we’re not talkin age here) an example of flow as well as a change from the usual content. He effortlessly guides you along into a space where only Nasir can take you. I will be the first to admit that Nas has had several missteps along the way. But if this track serves as any indication of what we will hear on the new album, then I am very bullish.

Fuck man, “Compton” is hard body. will.i.am. really gave Game some moody shit for “Compton”. I don’t even mind him rapping the chorus, the least obtrusive (and annoying) will has been in a looooong time. All four Game songs that have leaked today (err, in the past two days, I guess) have been en fuego. Oh yeah, for the record Kardinall is one of the illest lyricists bar none. I copped his debut a few months ago (yeah, I know… dumb late) and that shit was highly slept on (at least in the U.S.). Bakardi Slang was just some pop radio shit compared to the rest of the album. And his version of Maxine is CRRRRRAZY.
