October 3rd, 2006 at 12:05 am
>>eskay what other forums (other than the mixtape) are u gonna have on the message board
I’m open to suggestions. there’ll definitely be a general hip hop forum, movies, sports, etc.

>>i’m still confused about the whole “new layout for Nah Right†shit. dont be goin’ hollywood on us.
who said anything about a new layout?
October 3rd, 2006 at 12:08 am
@ eskay
i think there should be a exclusive kicks/clothing type of thread or forum. even though its not really gonna benefit me because i know niggas ain’t gonna be posting about female shit.
October 3rd, 2006 at 12:08 am
>> so did anyone listen to the jim jones gangsta grillz?
nope. i guess i missed the period when Drama lost his XXL blog. haha, he would have more comments per blog than anyone else, and they would all say “fuck you Drama! your mixtapes and blog entries are garbage!”
that “Beverly Hills Cop” shit has a hot beat tho. but i guess from now on, no more Max B hooks for the Capo (c) eskay. Max B sounds terrible on half of them anyways.
October 3rd, 2006 at 12:10 am
>> who said anything about a new layout?
well, this already got a comment section, what we need separate forums for? that shit’ll make it hard to keep up with everybody and all the new shit that happens. plus i dont really like the idea of you giving out positions, i can see that shit getting outta hand real quick.
October 3rd, 2006 at 12:11 am
>> I’m open to suggestions. there’ll definitely be a general hip hop forum, movies, sports, etc.

well that’s whats good about a forum, anybody can start a thread. don’t worry ill change, nothing’s really gonna change. you don’t have to ever go in the forums if you don’t want to. (but you will cuz the mixtape section will be calling you)
and please, I’ll be the only real mod, at least in the beginning, so nobody’s getting out of hand.

>>RIAA, LOOK HERE! moderated by KLO and Caliber.
that’s why not just anybody is getting in there. if you ain’t a regular or I don’t know you in real life, your gonna have to pay serious dues before you get in that forum.

October 3rd, 2006 at 12:24 am
the thing i like about Nah Right in this form is that it’s like a big community, and convo’s change freely to all sorts of shit. it’s like we got a fam, and we (the reg’s) all know each other’s deals, so every day we can just read thru the comments and see what’s good. i just think that if it gets broken up into sub-sections, then people will be less of a fam. plus, i see other sites that have this type of shit, and then a separate forum where anybody can create shit, and it’s a mess. i hate the layout of those, where you gotta scroll pages, that shit is wack. and just imagine all the nBmore clones making 15 Dipset and G-Unit threads today all about “what do you think 50′s next album will be like?” who gives a fuck. and i can see iceberg slim making the Daily “Why NaS Is Inferior To Jay” threads. look at nobodysmiling.com. that shit has a garbage format. my vote goes for dont change shit.

Nah Right needs to stay at “more news, less opinion” status. once you create other forums and shit, this wont be a blog no more. people will have all threads about opinions, instead of news, which is the purpose of Nah Right (to give news).
October 3rd, 2006 at 12:28 am
but if there really is gonna be a thread set-up, Nah Right Skits should be one.

see, every post is headed by news or entertainment, so that usually dictates the first 100-200 comments on a good day. look up nobodysmiling.com and peep their shit. it’s stale. every new thread is “do you think Banks will flop?”, “how nice is Weezy really?” or “Dipset runs shit!” i just think Nah Right’s rep is above that and should stay that way.

>>It’s just that well, Banks is boring. I listen to punchline rappers, but if they can’t keep you into the song, then they catch the skip button. But that song he had on The Alchemist First Infantry cd called Bangers was hot though, and Playboy was good, his music bores me though.
I think the new Banks can be boring at times, but otherwise I don’t know what ya’ll be talking about when ya’ll say that. if somebody is spitting hot lyrics how can they be boring? what do ya’ll want them to do? tapdance? sing? rub baby oil on themselves? 50 does all that, Banks spits

but capo was somewhat relevant before. like on DI. im having trouble taking him or cam seriously nowadays. but jimmy is doing it on purpose, its how he thinks hell get rich. his fans say hes keeping it real but he knows very well what hes doing. juelz seems like a cool dude but hes silenced, like has nothing to say because well hes famous thanks to cam. lol hell rell can spit at times but shit he really cant say shit, they supported him and everything when he was doing his bid. 40 cal is a fuck boy, who the fuck gets knocked the fuck out by loon?

>> are ya’ll familiar with pre-Hunger for More Banks or was that your introduction to him?
after i heard the g-unit album i knew it was over.
first time i noticed dude was on that extortion/cocaine dreams/order of protection song
dude was spitting something serious, then i looked into it, and i heard all of the mixtape songs, i was so fuckign impressed. now? hes just too artificial i find.
October 3rd, 2006 at 1:24 am
jimmy jones is like a snapshot of what wrong with hip hop: this mutha fucker is every where doing a zillion interviews and pop shit but his music is garbage, like the nigga is tryin to scare people into buyin his shit or something, and how u an a/r on one label and still making independent shit? doesnt add up

In that Touch It Remix Banks sounds pretty ass, he actually sounds better than Pap on that joint but a slow beat is much more suited to his style.

Yeah, that used to be one of my favorite things about a Mobb Deep track, the way Prodigy would open it up, but i posted the ending to Survival Of The Fittest when he’s talking at the end lol. “I have nightmares of situations where people were murdered or their life ended in some tragedy; but instead of it being them, it’s me. I have nightmares of Kanye West’s car crash breaking up my face. I have nightmares of being in the car with Suge and sitting in Pac’s position.”
“I stay loyal. It’s like people trying to…just because people think Dre’s not working on the album, or they feel like Dre turned his back, doesn’t mean that I’m not going to stay loyal to the guy that has helped me turn my life around.”
Why is he talking about Tupac so much now all of sudden.
And if he’s so loyal to Dr. Dre why did he meet with him on the beach at VMA weekend after Suge sent that dude after Dre at the Vibe awards.

if cam and juelz weren’t so lazy with their rhymes, cause they do have the potential, 40 cal wasnt that much of a generic mixtape rapper, and jr writer put a little more energy and rawness into his delivery, they could be one of the strongest crews. well of course their lyrical content needs some work too but as long as it sounds dope i can ignore that.

look at the typical NY shit to us though. dipset is what people down here think is hot in NY. and to some i’m sure it is hot. dipset is who we see on TV representing NY. just like you all think joc is who represents the south, ATL or whatever. real hip hop heads don’t bump that shit but unfortunately dumbed down music and artists is who the media chooses to portray on TV. some people down here might like joc but the majority of people who really like hip don’t. it seems like NY cats don’t understand that joc, ying yang twins, etc does not equal the south. its whats on TV/radio but not even what we are really bumping down here.

@ real
by real hip hop head i mean people who appreciate lyricism, a good flow, good beats etc. for example one of my homegirls has no idea what it means to be “lyrical”. the other day i was listenin to lil brother and she didn’t understand the difference between the bullshit joc says compared to phonte. she thought phonte’s lyrics were wack but she loves joc. imo, she’s not a real hip hop head because she doesn’t understand the art form. i have no problem with people having different opinions about who’s hotter if both artists should actually be contenders. but come on. thinkin joc and phonte are equal is blasphemy.

so you think niggas like face, outkast, TIP, etc. are all a bad spin huh? obviously you aren’t reading anything i’ve wrote. you’re one of the people who equate ying yang twins with southern rap. you’re one of the dudes that plug says needs to get out of your box. or perhaps in your box since you live in fuckin florida.

any program you can make a beat with is good..
I wouldnt recomend an MPC first and foremost before any program, but if you are looking for software, why not fuck with Fruity Loops? it works for 9th..
I know T PAIN makes most of his shit on “garage band”…

look at the typical NY shit to us though. dipset is what people down here think is hot in NY. and to some i’m sure it is hot. dipset is who we see on TV representing NY. just like you all think joc is who represents the south, ATL or whatever. real hip hop heads don’t bump that shit but unfortunately dumbed down music and artists is who the media chooses to portray on TV. some people down here might like joc but the majority of people who really like hip don’t. it seems like NY cats don’t understand that joc, ying yang twins, etc does not equal the south. its whats on TV/radio but not even what we are really bumping down here.
AND SWITCH THAT IT APPLIES THE SAME TO THE NORTH
WE HATE DIPS AND G-UNIT EVERYTIME WE SAY SAIGON OR PAP YOU GUYS SAY ANOTHER WACK NY MIXTAPE ARTIST, THE SOUTH HATES ON THE NORTH WAY MORE THAN WE HATE ON THEM AND ITS THE FACT THAT THE SOUTH ALWAYS HAS TO SAY NEW YORK ISNT POPPIN AND WE RUN THIS NOW THATS WHAT STARTS THE SHIT BUT GIVE A REAL HIP-HOP HEAD LOCATED IN ANY AREA REAL HIP-HOP HE WILL FUCK WITH IT GIVE HIM BULLSHIT AND HE WILL CALL BULLSHIT
LITTLE BROTHER = THAT SHIT
YOUNG JOC = BULLSHIT
OK SO YOU GUYS DONT ALL LISTEN TO IT BUT THE YOUNG’NS UP HERE DO AND WE DONT LISTEN TO DIP-SET OR THE UNIT BUT THATS ALL YOU BASE WHATS COMING FROM NY ON
October 3rd, 2006 at 11:55 am
Dude told me yesterday when they play some JZ song it says, “kill Jesus, 666″. He calls himself “Hova the God,†“Hova, as in Jehovahâ€. Could JZ be the anti Christ?

I fucked with Scarface before it was cool to like “southern rap”.. I fucked with Outkast too.. not cause they were southern, but because they were HIP HOP..
although from a new and strange place, they were hip hop, just another extension..
They got deals cause they were good..
Now people are getting deals cause theyre southern.. Its a friggin shame, I wonder if anyone else knows the difference..

ok, i can respect your opinion on that. i think alot of niggas are getting based on the strength of being southern as well. obviously that’s not always a good thing. a lot of southern niggas that don’t dumb down their music aren’t getting deals too though. ok now we can change the subject if you want.

Things defintely have changed in the south when you got Dem Franchise Boyz getting more spins and possibly sales that Outkast.
For some reason I always thought Outkast should be King of the South. I guess the times are really different.

how do you define a real hip hop head?
^^ id say its someone who is more than a fly by night fan- can give you history of the genre and underratyamds its qurks. they also would be people who listen to anyone who is true to Hip hop- dope lyricist, nimble wprdsmith, hot beat maker- regardless of where they georgraphically lay claim .
EXACTLY AND AGAIN EVERYONE ALWAYS JUST TALKS ABOUT SOUTH AND NORTH BUT ONE OF MY FAVORITE RAPPERS IS ROYCE DA 5’9 OLD SCHOOL EM, LUPE COMMON ALL MIDWEST, I LIKE GAMES MUSIC AND RASSKASS MUSIC EVEN THOUGH THEY BOTH PUNK BITCHES THEY MAKE DOPE MUSIC IF ITS HOT ITS HOT YEAH OBVIOUSLY IF SOMEONE IS REAL NICE AND FRON JERSEY I’LL REP A LITTLE HARDER BUT THERES PLENTY OF DUDES FROM JERSEY NEW YORK I WOULDNT GIVE THE TIME OF DAY TO
