true story…
about a year and half ago, maybe 2 I went to meet up with my manager at the time, he was with MOP and smiley the ghetto child..
It was down on Ft. Lauderdale beach and everyone was gonna have a little BBQ.. They took me to meet the fellas over on the bus..
As I get inside and have a seat at the table near the kitchen portion of the bus I see a CD-r sitting there with the words “lil fame beats” writtin on it in black marker..
so.. The thought went through my head for about 2 seconds, “should I swipe this?” then reality set in…
If I get caught, I could suffer a horrible beat down at the hands of the Mash Out Posse.. Not a good look I thought so I left that joint sitting there..
September 30th, 2006 at 3:31 pm
i fucking love AZ and i hope to god he gets some fame in the future. if he joined g-unit i would support him cuz he deserves the money
September 30th, 2006 at 3:56 pm

Wow, this is surprising that Lil’ Fame is working with AZ again. After AZ dissed 50 on “Royal Salute” last year, M.O.P came back with a diss track aimed at him. I forget what it’s called though.

U gotta be kidding me.
But whats sad is alot of niggas never heard of AZ, but can name every member of g-unit.
September 30th, 2006 at 6:26 pm
For his own sake. i hope az doesnt sign to g-unit. Thats would be the dumbest shit ever. We all know 50’s formula is to have his artists put out pop sing along hits and forget about lyricism and street oriented shit.
Just look at mobb deeps album, banks new album, 50 tried to use the same pop ass format that the massacre had and it failed for mobb deep. Now he doing the same shit for banks and his shit is gonna do worse than his first album.

All these albums getting pushed back. Styles P “Time is Money” seems to have disappeared again. Sean Price pushed back from Oct31 to Jan30 now. Clipse pushed back. These days we get lucky if something is released on time.

Ain’t nothing wrong with Ray Cash, obviously he’s not the best rapper out, but he’s not wack at all. He has alittle bit of a flow and yeah he does make some base bumping southernish type music from time to time, but hell thats what almost all of the midwestern rappers do, and basically almost every Ohio rapper i can think of right now does. If you haven’t heard his album though, it ain’t all just a buncha “Pimp In My Own Mind” shit either.

“
It differs from beat to beat, for each producer. Neptunes and Dr. Dre are by far and away the most expensive, but I know Scott Storch get 250k plus for his good tracks. “Turn It Up”, Chamillionaire, I know got over that. Most expensive beat, upfront (not counting royalities), ever is probably that $1,000,000 Nas gave the Neptunes. Not that it did any good because Nas isn’t exactly know for his flow.
You can’t expect him to kill any track just because it sounds good, the instrumentals have to conform to him and his style. Jay-Z is probably the polar opposite of that. His flow is much greater than any other rapper ever, and that is coming from somebody who considers 2Pac significantly better than Jay-Z. Jay-Z can kill any track, any style. Just peep everything post Black.
But seriously, the Neptunes. They have more hits than most labels.

That’s funny because I had an arguement at work a couple weeks ago about how the South has been swagger jacking the “Midwest”. Nelly came when the South was know for Scarface and his ilk. Then the “ATL” and $0.50 came with the sing-sung and base driven tracks. Now it is Houston, Scarface residence. Then Nelly came with Suit, and now two years later it seems there are a dozen rappers who want to sing.
Nelly is probably one of my most underrated, just because I never hear nothing but critism for him. I know he sells, but people act like that is top-up music. Three classics and to have “Sweat” as your worse album. Sweat is a good album, not classic, but good. Better than Vol.1 and Vol.3 from Jay-Z. In short, probably the best first four albums than any other rapper. Naw, fuck that, 2Pac had four classics to begin with.
A track I use to get purists to change their mind about Nelly is “St. Louie” off Country Grammar. Click My Name © Front, to download that track.
For somebody who grew up and have lived in California, I don’t really care about (or see) the difference between the STL and ATL. But to be fair, the Midwest and South blend in together culturally, demographically, geographically, almost every way possible. There is no clear line saying this is the South, and this is the Midwest. I mean you have states like Texas, Oklahoma, Kanasas, Missouri, Tennessee and such that really straddle the line between Mississippi & Illinois.

Lupe Fiasco is on Hot 97. Said Jay wants him to make a video for “Real” because he’s feeling it the most. He also said he had dinner with Nas & Jay in London & Nas “broke down” rapper’s careers (Lupe didn’t say any names though).Jay also told him he’s addressing every issue that went on since the Black Album on the new album.

I hate to sound like I hate the new shit but I do. Jay and Nas really need to take it back to the lyrics and stop trying to Viacom the movement, fuck a television. I haven’t seen any lyrical growth from Jay since Blueprint as far as lyrical dexterity. He doesn’t sound hungry; he needs to fast or something because his flow is lazy. “H, O, check out the flow”, get the fuck outa’ here with that bullshit. While artist like Rae and G Rapp, get more and more complicated with the word play Nas and Jay seem lackadaisical. AZ even stretched his flow out but what saves him is the flow doesn’t sound lazy. How the Mash Out Posse managed to sound like their starving over all these years is amazing to me but a lot of the 90’s emcees should take note because the shit is sounding diluted. Nas should be right up there with Rae but his flow is sounding weak, he should have destroyed that Hi-Tek track. I think the content was good, catching the music off the pots and pans and sounds out side, but I just want him to flip and bounce it more, he sounds like he’s imitating himself. And Mobb should be ashamed of them selves for putting out that watered down shit under the Mobb Deep brand, that shit was horrible.
BTW
Lupe would have done much better if he didn’t try so hard for the crossover. Lupe has rhyme skill but he diluted his flow and look where it got him.
Keep the crossover © EPMD

> Wow, this is surprising that Lil’ Fame is working with AZ again. After AZ dissed 50 on “Royal Salute†last year, M.O.P came back with a diss track aimed at him. I forget what it’s called though.
I’m late to respond, but that song that was labled a Game/AZ/etc. diss… WASN’T. (It could of been meant for Yukmouth.)
It was some internet nerd who heard Slap talk about the people who were trying to diss M.O.P. by association, then thought he would be a genius and title the song a diss. Then more internet nerds got angry and started spreading word because they don’t get outside and use the internet to do away with their emotions.
