I mean that “make cocaine cool” verse is so fucking perfect for a video and all they have him doing in the European version is dancing with a CG robot. He is having a vote on his website for what the fans should be his next video. I personally think that the vote is pointless because it will be whatever the label wants (if it is their money). I personally want “Instrumental”, but I wouldn’t be dissappointed with “Pressure”. That beat with a good director could make for an interesting video.

Kanye West is expontentially better than Lupe Fiasco.
Atlantic has obviously shown major support for Lupe. The only reason they didn’t release back with “Kick, Push” is that they were waiting for a holiday smash. Expect “I Gotcha” video to be up on MTV very soon and then two months from now (when it is retired), a new “Daydream” video will be drop right in prime holiday shopping season, end of November/beginning of December.
Ask Chamillionare if you need to sell hundred of thousands to go multi, I’d be suprised if he sold more than 20k on his first week.

As far as Lupe not doing too well and others, I think we’re living in an era where we worry way too much about sales. And I hate when people think an album is shit just because it doesn’t sell well. Great sales doesn’t mean an album is good….check Eminem’s Encore for example.
Some of the best hiphop albums ever made were low selling(sales within the first year) Here’s a few…..

True, it was indy. I forgot about 25 2 Life. But as far as sales go, back in the day I don’t remember people focusing so much on how an album sold like today. Back then access to first week numbers and sales was limited without the internet. You just went out and copped a cd without so many outside influences.
