How Philly gonna stop another city from shining??? Ya’ll don’t even support your own (i.e. THE ROOTS), and as far as the identity crisis, I think that being in between NY and The South creates a distinct sound that is missing from hip-hop right now.

I wrote a long ass paragraph concerning B’more hip hop and what not. But that shit didn’t go through because my screenname and email wasn’t included so now everything is lost. But to sum it up, B’more artists won’t start gettin’ the respect until we start puttin’ out niggas who are nice. Mullyman, Bossman, COMP, Skarr Akbar, Backland, and LOS have all earned their stripes. Philly could never dictate what we do though I do envy their hunger. For instance, I’ve been YouTube’in this kid name Meek Mill outta Philly for the last few weeks. He’s a fuckin’ animal and could maim most cats from my local area in battle (and he’s only 19). Philly has solidified their presence in the game with their artists through the streets. I mean, who would wanna battle Sieg? Cassidy? Bugsy (the artist, not the 50 stan)? Journalist? Young Chris? You might not like their albums or their music at all, but their rep on the streets for being nice is undeniable. And we won’t get that recognition until we learn to put hip hop to the forefront and put Club music on the backburner.
