Interscope VP Confirms Dre On Doctors Advocate
During a recent interview with Davey D, Interscope VP of Rap Promotions, Kevin Black confirms Dr Dre’s presence on Game’s Doctor’s Advocate.
We also got into a discussion about the beefs that exists between label mates 50 Cent and Game. KB explained the types of approaches him and promotion team take when working both their projects and what the ultimate bottom line is for dealing with that touchy scenario. One thing of note, KB insisted that Dr Dre is on Game’s new album which is in sharp contrast to what 50 said in the latest issue of XXL where he said the Dr’s advocate would have no Dr Dre production
It’s a really in-depth interview and that’s hardly the only interesting point. Other subjects include Interscope’s relationship with XXL and The Source and how much influence major labels actually have over what we hear on commercial radio.

Isn’t the irony of the title of this album and it’s constant push backs just tragic? What’s it going to be next week, December 5th? Do I hear January? Just release the damn album already. What is the thought process like at these record companies? I mean seriously: “Maybe if we push SP back a month he’ll debut at number #12 instead of #14.” I’m a Styles P fan and all but come on, we all know he’s not gonna break any sales records.
