Styles P’s website has finally re-launched (there still isn’t anything really worth looking at) and an announcement posted there, and on his Myspace page, says that October 17th is the do-or-die release date for Time is Money. I’m glad to hear it, but I just hope this album hasn’t been butchered into wackness after all the push backs and label nonsense. I would imagine he had to record a bunch of new songs, since a good 5 or 6 tracks made their way onto the internet and mixtapes. If we’re lucky, those songs will end up actually being good. I can already say that I’m not really feeling that single, Who Want A Problem, but that’s due more to the fact that I think Swizz Beatz should’ve retired back in ‘01. It’ll be what it is, but I have this feeling that SP is going to deliver on this one.

..at tha ritz here in cincinnati (sure u heard of it…ie TI incident) last october when they were on sheek’s after taxes promo tour..at tha ritz they got this big window pane where u can see into tha v.i.p. so i started walkin towards it..at tha time they had tha local ‘nati acts on stage or whatever so i approached tha v.i.p. window and tha first nigga i seen was bully from 354…then i seen st. raw then j-hood…poobz they producer and supa mario and hit hard and all them niggaz…then sp and sheek in tha cut…right before that concert was when GHOST IN THE MACHINE had dropped which in my opinion was tha best mixtape of ‘05..on my cell—i punched in STYLES P GHOST IN THE MACHINE..HARDEST MIXTAPE OF THE YEAR—-i punched on tha window and hood and bully seen tha text and was like hell yeah and told tha bouncer to let that nigga in…and there you go…before u know it ya boy cal was in tha v.i.p. drinkin two 1.75 bottles of hen and hittin spliff after spliff w/ these niggaz…i chopped it up w/ SP for a while…j-hood for a while…but mostly w/ St. Raw and Bully….tha consensus was that these niggaz was tha most humble artists i ever met but was committed to they craft…they kept sayin that it was ‘all about sheek right now’ cuz his album was gettin read to drop..then when its SP’s time then its all about him then Hood and so on and so on….
..but yeah thats how it went down..me and St. Raw exchanged math and to this day i still keep in contact w/ em..this is tha reason why i stay updated on they shit and say that im one of they biggest supporters…point blank period…

I never formally met styles, but did jump on stage with dblock in harlem. Styles holds the record for fastest blunt roller. Jada was breaking up his weed which i found funny. Styles is super real though. The stage felt like it was gonna colapse and when the aux. popo’s was tryin to rush everyone off the stage, P stopped the music and started screamin “if one person get off the stage imma punch em in the mouth”. ..any kiss fan will tell u kiss of death was solid..not a classic be he dropped jewels on that album no doubt…to tha mainstream lookin in, most look at this effort as a flop..
however..
..joints like real hip hop..still feel me..by your side..air out..why..shoot outs..i’m goin back…make this album what it is..to me those songs are timeless and if u listen to tha messages, a real nigga would agree..although tha production is questionable on some tracks and some concepts are flim flam…overall kiss of death is a solid effort and i look forward to his 3rd solo album entitle “Kiss My Ass”

He didn’t really lose me on the Massacre after I actually heard the album (Ryder Music & Baltimore Love Thing = true classics), singles sucked, but tracks 9 through 16 were classic. Then he spits one of the best verses this decade on “Hate It or Love It”. Then shit goes way downhill with following movie and mixtapes. Tries to copy Nelly and failing so horribly. Games does the mixtape thing better than anybody not named Weezy. Game comes on his own, putting out “One Blood”, probably the rap song of the summer, even if it isn’t on MTV. Things could not look worse for the G-Unit commander.
Mark this day. August 30, 2006. 50 Cent drops a mixtape song that goes after the Pubic Enemy #1. Not only that, with a flow that is reminscent of Get Rich or Die Tryin’. Plus, a great beat with a deep rolling base line, seriously with my subs I can other people CD players skip with this beat. People have been calling for His head for a decade now. Nobody with enough courage to go up against his pile of money, except for disgruntled employees. People recently have been looking to Jay-Z to do this, but we forgot about the newest hip-hop tycoon. This is the best move ever in hip-hop, can anybody actually thing of a better way to instantly regain your credibilty and build anticipation for another album. Just read some of the 50 Cent threads from last week, especially that “London, London” one.
