good luck with that hurricane i need to call my sister and make sure she is good down there in ft. lauderdale, its crazy, but my only fear in watching the documentary is that spike will go on jessie jackson type tirades putting blame on everyone outside of the local government, while there is other blame in the Katrina incident, there is some things going on that should have happened locally that would have made this a better issue, but more than anything i feel sorry for a lot of people there

New Orleans will get another hurricane eventually, and the same thing will happen all over again. Living in a hurricane zone does not gain you sympathy from me, people know it’s a hurricane zone that shit happens every year.
Move or the wind will move your shit for you, it’s that simple. I don’t know why anyone feels sorry for people who don’t realize that hurricanes come every year from June->November.

^ I don’t believe that people don’t know it’s coming. We express our sympathies because even though we know it’s coming, we also know that there’s nothin’ that these people can do about it. These people are poor with nowhere to go. And the fact that the sick ass gov’t had the nerve to blow the levees just so that the rich people can live is absolutely absurd. Much of the rich history that people from around the world indulge in when visiting N.O. are in the poor areas. And to have some type of military unit help destroy lives doesn’t sit well with me. Then there’s the nonchalant attitude of the president, FEMA, and government officials to add insult to injury.

damn you know what i said that to a number of friends of mine after a while, kind of was tired of hearing about it, and one of my boys that had family in NO got real heated, so he was pissed for a while, but we squashed that shit, i went to the crib and felt bad as hell, cause that is someones livelyhood and while i dont give props to people who dont investigate a situation before they get involved (real estate issues) you are talking about people that have been there for over 20 years and nothing close to this bad had happened, I am up in the air about how i think about it now, but i felt the same King

Shaking my head at you. Billz handled you, but be serious for a minute. You can say all you want about hurricane this hurricane that. The hurricane actually missed NO. They didnt get the full deal. The damage was done “when the levees broke”. So, whether they left or not, NO would have been 80% under water. Why? Because it wasnt in the state/nations econcomic interest to repair them. Pay now, or pay later…but you are gonna pay.
