First off. Why in the hell can you name all of those Bad Boy artists? That shit is crazy. lol.
I hear you, but all that says to me is that BadBoy artists don’t do well. If I were an artist, and i wanted longevity, I probably wouldnt sign to bad boy. That doesnt equal “bad business”.
Here is what is bad business. Signing a contract without a lawyer. Or, signing a contract without an entertainment lawyer. Or, signing a contract without a reputable, disinterested entertainment lawyer.
Look, i know that there are alot of talented, hungry (read: broke as shit) artists out there. Really, with today’s marketing machine, they can turn anyone into a star (example: Cf. Rick Ross, Danity Kane, DFB). So, that means they can offer them less than stellar contracts and tell them this is there one shot.
Did Puff put a gun to there head and tell them to sign? No. They saw the advance of 1.1 mil, and said, fuck it, lets get paid. Whose fault is it they didnt think that shit out?

Rapper Young City has been arrested for an armed robbery charge he picked up as a juvenile.
The New Orleans native, who was arrested July 31 in an Atlanta, Ga. suburb, was cited for speeding by Gwinnett County authorities.
Police continued to hold the rapper (born Kevin Barnes) after discovering he was wanted for armed robbery in Baltimore, Maryland.
Barnes, a former Bad Boy Records artist who gained fame on MTV’s Making the Band, was one of many who evacuated New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
He reportedly lives in Atlanta.
According to sources, Barnes fled New Orleans for Baltimore after becoming involved in several altercations with rival teens.
“From what I understand, Young City’s time in Baltimore was positive, said Filthy Phil, CEO of Barnes’ current recording home Nomad Entertainment. “It is when his life and career began to take form. In fact, he was in Baltimore when the MTV situation came along.”
Barnes, who is considered a flight risk, is currently being held in a Gwinnett County jail without bond. He is waiting to be extradited to Baltimore to face charges.
“What is so disturbing about the whole situation is that family and friends were not made aware that he was being detained for four days,” Filthy Phil revealed. “We had just completed his photo shoot on Sunday and then we did not hear from him for a few days. It was when he missed his mid-week scheduled studio session that we became concerned and finally made aware of this misfortune.”
Barnes, who maintains his innocence, believes he, like many of his Hhop peers, is a victim of harassment and profiling. The rapper recently completed his latest project which is expected to be released in January.

I thought morality and the word conscience where inter-changable, but the have two different meanings. I told him a conscience is somthing thats learned, and ofcourse he said your born with it. I added that if a persons purpose and motivation is power and control, it serves in his best interest not to have a conscience, which lead me to believe that a conscience is somthing used much like religion as a form of control. Suppose theres no such thing as right and wrong, and its all relative to how the act serves you. And everyone one else whos living by a certain dogma selflessness is actually a lamb waiting to be slaughtered at the hands of a few who actually know the truth…

natural law are laws that cannot be broken. man made laws and judgements are broken all the time. means nothing. but take karma. immutable law. because the universe is circular by nature the cat that robs for a living will be robbed. or suffer for that robbery. murders will be murdered. or suffer the weight and guilt of having taken that life. when you gain awareness and want to avoid the suffering caused by inflicting suffering you fall out of the cycle. lions, in reality, live lives of desperation. even the best of hunters go for weeks without eating. they sometimes murder their own young. instinct with awareness turns you into a beast. awareness, evolution, is what makes you civilized. and in the end divine. this is the rakim lesson. he put all of this on record.
^ It’s a good book on Karma (that I haven’t finished reading myself) called “Karma 101″ by Joshua Mack. It breaks it down from the origins and gives examples along the way.

yeah, i mean if you think about masons originate in egypt. it was and is the study of how to build. the study of physics, metaphysics, biology, psychology and math. nature basically. the true reality. so back in ancient times some with that knowledge strayed from the way. started to try to keep it hidden and hoard the riches and the earth. these were the devils. what race they were doesn’t matter but these are what some call the ten percent keeping the masses in slavery. but they were others that stayed true to the wisdom. these magi went into hiding and worked quietly through the centuries until the time comes when wisdom returns. masonry is a shadow of what it once was. a lot of the knowledge was lost or is kept locked up in the vatican. but look at hiphop and you see the work of two masonic camps. i try to judge people i suspect with masonic leanings by their ways and actons.
