I gotta say that I’m pretty damn proud of Killer Mike for speaking out against our so-called leaders. He makes a great point in stating that newly affluent blacks often turn their backs on the communities they were raised in, therefore our kids only have rappers and ballers to look up to. The real challenge would for him to created some kind of call to action to our newfound leaders to be more responsible individuals and embrace their position as role models. First let me say I believe the “Game” rumor to be just that, a rumor…but what I know to be true is…dumb-ass decisions, run rampant through the Interscope/Aftermath family tree…where they may not overpower the better decisionsthey’ve made…they do exsits
Dr. Dre should have handled the 50/Game problem along tyme ago..if not to present a unified front to the public, but to protect his investment in his artists. If he could keep these two in order, and keep’em from dissing everyone short of the Messiah himself…they would not only sell tons of records, but for a longer period of tyme (emphasis on l”onger period of tyme”). Cracks in the mold are what break a Dynasty. And for Interscope…all this beef shit and bad decision-making are the cracks. Imagine how much stronger a presence they would have in the industry if:
1.) 50 talked shit over with the Game instead kicking him out of g-unit. Mayb they could have come to an agreement, that would have given the Game his own lane as an artist, instead of the position of a g-unit soldier.
That’s Tony’s Job.
2.) Dre would release Detox
with guest spots from:
-Game
-50 Cent
-Eminem
-Busta
-Snoop
-and the rest of the West, but with everyone unified
2.) Game was still signed to Aftermath, The title of his album would be more significant.
3.) If Dr. Dre would come out and support his artists like when Em’s career first kicked off. He was in every video, and they make way more songs together then him and ne of his other artists
4.) Sign Mary J. Blidge and Devin the Dude…I believe both artists compliment Dre’s production
5.) If Dre could inspire Eminem..but make sure Tupac’s acapellas are no where near his grasps..or 50′s for that a matter. How could Dre let Em produce an entire Tupac album, right after he begins producing professionally? Mayb that was Dre’s way of getting back at Pac…
6.) Dre would Stop 50 Cent front creating his fantasy rap label, by advising him better. He’s sonning veteran acts like Mobb Deep and putting out lost causes like: Olivia, Ma$e, and Spider Loc. Dre should teach 50 how to select an artist, develop their sound, and find their market , b4 you drop their album…Promotion is not the only key to sucess.
7.) Dre would stop taking movie roles…
Alot of theses decisions fall on Dre’s shoulders, but then again he is the Boss, 1st in command, H.N.I.C. (sorry Prodigy)…he needs to get his shit together…this list could go on and on. I’m sure other people have their own ideas as to what would keep the Aftermath/Intescope from crumbling…I mean who would have ever thought Roc-a-fella would crumble…so post you suggestions and here’s to “Doc Dre” listening to to them
