Busta cover – had a friend killed at video shoot

Jay cover – 10th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt
and now a 50/Banks cover – Rotten Apple coming in a few months, but no video single and no drama right now with the Unit

Banks and 50 cent are on A LOT of XXL covers because they HELP XXL SELL MAGAZINES more than any other rap artist on the cover would.
The editor and author of XXL Magazines says it in his XXL magazine all the time “As Long as 50 Cent continues to SELL HIM A LOT OF MAGAZINES, HE WILL ALWAYS PUT 50 CENT on the COVER!”
It’s just simple business. People will buy this magazine because 50 is on it.
And Interscope and XXL are the best of friends, and this has been known for a while now.
Interscope puts Banks on the cover because he has an upcoming album and he needs to be promoted in any way or form, IT’S BASIC TACTICS of the BUSINESS WORLD.

i would say a couple (2) tracks were iight. i was definitly bumpin 2 maybe (big maybe) 3 joints. but the rest was so bad it took away from the good songs. it was clearly a situation where he was treating the album like a job rather than a piece of art. it sounded like the album was made during the week that the gunit machine was in the repair shop. i just hope he comes with it this time. just give me a 40% good song ratio on the album, and i will openly admit its hot. we all know that he won’t touch the first album, but just gimme a half assed effort, and i’ll give him all the props in the world.

Reasonable Doubt is ill and Vol. 2/Vol. 2 was cool. but people seem to hate on Stillmatic for the sole reason that it had “Ether”. they say “it’s trash” without even acknowledging “Stillmatic Intro”, “2nd Childhood”, “The Flyest”, “Every Ghetto”, “What Goes Around”, “One Mic”, “Got Urself A..” and “Destroy & Rebuild”. i won’t say i’m not biased against Jay, but i don’t come in here bashing him for no reason. I heard (and saw the video for) “It Ain’t Hard to Tell” way before I heard a Jay-Z record. Maybe I’m a Nas fan by chance. Who knows what I would be if I heard Jay first.

My favorite hip-hop album (not named Late Registration, which you could argue whether or not it was hip-hop to begin with) last year did come from L.A., and sure as hell wasn’t the Game. Fort Minor/Mike Shinoda dropped the Rising Tied which was probably the best mainstream hip-hop album since Get Rich or Die Tryin’. Executive Producer was Jay-Z, which means nothing more than he help pick the tracks, but it still means something. Not a West Coast album, but the best mainstream album you are going to find.
And just for clarification, Game is not that popular with the L.A. streets. My friend was just telling me the other day that he was disgusted by Game repepping NWA. If Eazy-E was still alive, he would bitch slap him. The only people who are Game fans are the really big 50 haters and the pop Cali crowd. I mean he shows California in his videos so he must be West right? Negative. And just for the record, “And Master P said unhhh” is not an acceptable punchline.

Or even worse, stayed on the American side of the border and just launched missles at the clinics, and the United States government did nothing, what would be Canada’s rights in that situation? Now you obviously would have to ignore the size differences because in the Middle East, Israel would be the USA and Lebanon would be the Canada, but you can understand why Israel is doing what it is doing. And as far as civilian casualities go, that is some tough shit. I seriously doubt Israeli’s give a shit, or should they, as the last time I check, suicide bombers and rockets seem to occur a lot more at cafes and bus stops than military bases and tank depots.
And maybe Hezbollah themselves are to blame for several of these civilians deaths. I got this from IRIN: “The group (Hezbollah) currently operates at least four hospitals, 12 clinics, 12 schools and two agricultural centres that provide farmers with technical assistance and training.” I don’t know how Hezbollah is set-up, but I’m going to assume that the militia commanders are not idiots and set-up shop in those hospitals and schools.
