*Entertainment mogul Damon Dash, former head and co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, says he no longer has time to fool with the pennies he makes in hip hop, and has instead shifted full-time focus into the fashion business and other enterprises to fund his lifestyle.
“The music business isn’t so profitable, especially not hip-hop,†he says, according to Contact Music. “I couldn’t buy what I wanted to buy. I’m talking cooks and drivers. I got into clothes to make money.
“The people in this business all think they’ve made it because they’re in charge of their little record labels. I’m like, this isn’t even my main source of income. I already did this business - and I made movies and I designed clothes and I got my own vodka and my own Swiss watch maker.
“It’s all about finding ways to make money off an upscale urban product. That’s what I do. Period.”

The smokingsection.net shares my opinion when it comes to Lil Wayne. While I’m a fan, I think dude has regressed alot over the years. Somewhere between Lights Out and 500 Degrees duke started regressing. He still spit fire, but dude should be hands down, with out question, one of the best MC right now.
I was just listening to Lights Out and I think line for line that album better than both of the Carter’s. He need to get back to spitting like that.

Hey, I’m not the one who said they were labelmates with Slim Thug. Since the merger, Clipse has gone on to form their own rap group and label. Furthermore, you would expect a columnist with the name XXL behind them to know this simple crap. Hell, just follow your own website’s news feed. Maybe I’m a little biased on this because I am such a huge amount of respect for the Neptunes and follow every dealing they are involved in, but seriously, just check your own website out.
As far as I am concerned, Israel is doing to the right thing by their people. It is not like Hezbollah is just some small group of wackos that the Lebanonese government has no control over. Hezbollah is a government party that holds 20% of the seats in the parlimanent. A comparison would be if the Republican party publicily supported and financed a militia that would go up into Canada to bomb their abortion clinics, and then the United States government would do nothing. What are Canada’s rights in that situation? Of course you have to ignore all of the size differences because over in the Middle East, Israel is the United States and Lebanon would be the Canada, but I think that puts it into perspective of why Israel is doing what it is doing.

hmm,… interesting thoughts on the Isreal Lebonan beef, does anyone care about the innocent kids dying on both sides of the conflict. I’m saying what are we teaching the next generation if in the year 2006, humanity is at an all time low, and there is no order. I’m past putting the blame on one party, what I want to know is whats the solution. People act like missles flying over borders is normal behaviour. You think whats happining with the youth is just bad judgement, NO its not, its the effects of a whole generation that are becoming desensitized by the acts of greedy corrupt World leaders.

I agree, the blame goes way past just one party. It’s a shame that there is so much going on in ther world today, and people turn a blind eye to it, and act like shit ain’t happening, or they don’t give a fuck. It’s so funny how mofos can sit and criticize, but don’t come up with a solution. It’s going to take years, to get the world back in order, and until then, or until we come up with a plan to at least try to get things in order, this bullshit is going to keep happening.
