What the hell is goin’ on over at Def? First up–SOHH.com found out some crazy ish last night from a source thisclose to Russell Simmons . According to the source, Juelz Santana was told to get his shit and get out of the house of Def Jam very recently. Apparently “the game†wasn’t missin’ his azz enough because Def wants no part of him anymore. Their reason? They’re being tightlipped but a reliable source is saying it’s because of Cam’Ron. With Cam goin’ bad on Def Jam Prez Hov every 5 minutes, and Santana being Cam’s homeboy and all, y’all know Def is not tryin to have all that.
SOHH.com contacted Santana’s publicist abuout this situation right here. Her statement? She laughed it off. Clearly somebody’s feeling hella salty right about now. And it aint Def Jam. They’re dropping cats from that label quicker than panties on a rap video set. Damn.

My thing is that people like hate on the south for the content of the music and the fact that certain artist get prioritzed while others don’t. In my opinion it happens because alot of Tri-State area artist don’t leave the Tri-State. The music maybe dope but they don’t build up a fan base outside of the Tri-State area.
Keeping it real there aren’t a lot of NY rapper making good music as wel as in other regions. There is a lot of wackness everywhere.

This hasn’t been a problem for Jay,Biggie,Pun,Kiss, etc. If your music is good then people will pick it up. I remember how “We Gon Make It” used to shut shit down around here. “Quiet Storm” would come on and you would have thought you were at the Tunnel.
In the Midwest and The South people will support local or regional acts. All you got to do is show your face and make good music.
