Heres what eskay would have written had it been a Jay track
OMG, new fiya from Jay, he absolutely kills it and hurts the track. And the pic would of had Jay laughing instead of an angry looking Nas.
June 20th, 2006 at 12:59 am

I hope this isn’t consider album material. I thought Jay wouldn’t let him choose anymore beats.
That verse that starts around 2:30 kills.
I have a hard time seeing eskay ever using “OMG”
June 20th, 2006 at 1:52 am
Nice.
June 20th, 2006 at 2:21 am

Never say never.
Naw j/p. Can’t express my love for Nas in one post. Well, I prolly could, but I’m too lazy to play the track right now. Which prolly doesn’t look too good. But oh well. Checkin that joint when the sun is up.

I think this is K-Def beat. This is basically the same beat off of Real Live’s “Crime Is Money”.
June 20th, 2006 at 3:35 am
Damn when I saw the other was like 500 in there was no way I was reading that…..too much like work…nevertheless….bet anybody Nas does like 500 to 600 hundred thousand his first week…….and Luda will top him….and drumroll please Fif will, well you know how it goes sad but true. Oh yeah NAS so still has it……..1
June 20th, 2006 at 4:52 am

unkut.com has a nice new nas freestyle btw
June 20th, 2006 at 6:08 am
yall niggas be too hype ova a beat man.
i aint sayin beat cant be nice but i bet half of yall niggas dont even understand what nas is saying on some real shit.
beat is just watever but the fuckin lyrics..?
i mean get ur ears together and try it very carefully..
u want that platinum hit beat type shit with a catchy ass hook.
then get at fiddy and rest of g-unit bout it.
nas is all bout that real talk which half of these phony ass rappers cant understand nor dont wanna accept the truth.

I somewhat agree with you, but if the beat dosnt compliment the lyrics, then the song wont stand to its true potential. Let me explain, its like having a fresh new outfit with scuffed kicks.
overall 8.0 out of 10, with a premo track coulda easily been 10.

YO, fuck that… the beat is good enough for me, NAS LYRICS/FLOW IS RETARDED ON THIS! COT DAMN! And we all know that’s not even him at his best. The (r)evolution has started, nukkas.
June 20th, 2006 at 8:32 am
personally, I think that Nas has lost “IT.” He just doesnt have”IT” anymore. His flows are hot but not “nas”ish. This usually happens when a dude falls in love. First he hoes all of his friends, then he just doesnt put all his effort into what he usually has a passion for.
“Kelis said her milkshake brings all the boys to the yard
Then Nas went and tattooed the bitch on his arm/
I mean that way out in Cali, niggas know these guns
First thing they say about you, is you a sucker for love/”

Billz whats good man? yea you know the kid was gonna be up in this joint…his flow is sick, and your right hes not at his best, hes just sounding the siren right now. His next leak is gonna be that piff fo’real, trust that. I kept telling these dudes while they was on their disrespectful ranting shit…” Oh Nas dos’nt have it” or ” He aint consistant” GTFOH with that bullshit. I’m going to predict a tripple thread here, on the strength that I know theres gonna be alot of hate thrown around belittling the worth of, as some of ya’ll say lil homie…
June 20th, 2006 at 8:38 am
Nas kills it, you can’t deny it. Itchin for this album….there are some you will listen to in 10 years, 20 years, etc…………NAS IS ONE OF THE FEW.

damn yall niggas be up early wit it
June 20th, 2006 at 8:45 am
Reggae… Aint shit, chief… chillin’ before I go to the plantation. Yeah dawg, you might as well chop up a few onions, and a little bit of carrots, and maybe a green pepper… because the Hater Stew is boiling early up in here. Niggas sayin’ he lost it and all types of ish. Huh? Where in that song do you feel he has lost it? The nigga is lyrically flashy in this song and I fucks with it. Had he been talkin’ about the children in Sudan or the struggle, then niggas woulda been complaining about that too. Probably woulda said, “yo, he shouldn’t release no conscience shit if he wanna sell, I’m not feelin’ it”…. GTFOH. The beat wasn’t the greatest, but really… was it THAT bad? I actually kinda liked the beat because it was simple and you focused more on the lyrics. Some beats just serve their purpose. This joint might not even make the album but either way it’s a good look. I think mofos would rather see Chuck Norris doing the Tone Wop than give Nas props.

June 20th, 2006 at 8:47 am

a couple of my beefs with tha new nas track……
the chorus – i kno nas aint getting down like that, shoulda let jungle do tha chorus
sounds like he put throwaway verses from his lyric book 2gether an came out with a tune.
those nas really drop knowlwdge or just name-check historical figures, times and places the same way game name-checks rappers???
and i liked tha beat man!

nas history in a nutshell:
crowned king of new york with illmatic. seens as ra’s second coming. writes some of the illest rhymes ever on cameos on mobb deep and raekwon’s albums. dubbed the prophet. Came out with it was written. gets into subliminal beef with biggie and gets murked on ‘kick in the door’. biggie retains KONY crown. Nas releases The Firm album. First overt signs of weakness. Jay-Z releases Reasonable Doubt and gives niggas the album they were expecting from Nas. His lyrical equal, Jay slightly outgullys Nas. Nas goes into a three album slump but always with one or two hot tracks. tupac also gets at nas right before he is killed. nas takes on too much: he is at once crimelord, righteous, wearing kufis then minks, intellectual then dumbing out. you owe me with genuwine a low point. beef percolating with jay when jay crowned king of new york after biggie’s passing. jay comes at him – outlines all his career missteps. WAKES THE NIGGA UP from slumber. nas does his best work in years. signs to hova in gratitude.

I disagree. when was the last time nas spit some mind blowing shit???? his songs would be mediocore at best but nothing to go crazy about. jay-z lyrics progressed (not including reasonable doubt) while nas lyrics decline over the years. for instance “hard knock life” vs “I am” both of there third albums, jay-z lyrical content was way better that nasir. nas been getting outshined on songs for years now also i’m not saying jay-z is light years beyond nas but his lyrical attributes arent what they use to be

im with these 2 people who say nas is more lyrical are nuts maybe they talk about different things sometimes but jay is much more lyrical i mean just check out the shit from the pump it up freestyle
“i got my foot on the door/
on the post of this rap game and i aint lettin up/
yea whos the nicest life of lifeless mic devices/
and i dont write this i just mic this/
i will it to happen/
one take hove im real in this rappin/
my new name is just the facts/
while the rest of yall just adjust the facts/
put words together, just to match/
i say what i feel yall adjust to that/
i do the opposite of yall so i just attract/
the realer audience usually unjustly black/
know my flow and the shit they go just match/
like the sound of my voice and a choice just track”
that alone is more lyrical than the majority of nas.

Lil Wayne is original with an original type of flow. Joe budden is not original. Half the time he raps like Hov and talks about him in the same breath.

That’s not true in jay case he did sign beanie seigal & beanie HAD the potential to be greater than jay & nas

fuck you NaS haters, eat a dick (no homo). the beat is hot, but this isnt album material, this is a mixtape jumpoff. what dont you understand about NaS still has a flow and Jay sold his to Puff after Reasonable Doubt? really, ask any street dude in the hood who was the winner of the NaS/Jay beef. anyone will tell you NaS. i see all you talkin about “NaS cant wear a kufi and be strapped at the same time.†keep crying little girls. i dont think the hood can relate to a supposed ex-hustler who now wears a business suit and runs a multi-national corporation. dude’s life is like Russell Simmons doing an impersonation of Kool G Rap, without the talent. try to front on NaS album when it drop. i dare you. NaS can still ether any rapper in the game. at least he still owns his masters. shit, Dame could ether Jay by releasing a Lil Jon remix of the whole Reasonable Doubt. President Carter = failure as CEO
first i did most the nas hating today and i said i was just talking shit having fun trying to get a reaction from nas stans ( it worked ) but damn your crazy with what your saying. how did jay sell his flow to puff???? i need that explained to me. what streets you talking about honestly everywhere ive ever been streets burbs anywhere its about 60/40% jay and thats real talk 100% serious ( obvious an estimation but around that ) thats from ny,nj,philly,d.c.,boston hoods all over and to qoute my boy in the response to jada kiss why
” the slug or the heart it really dont matter/
but shit as long as you got new york it really dont matter ” – sevone
also most dudes in the streets i know strive to be jay aka the boss who wants to be nas the worker bee???
dame could release reasonable doubt to country music it would still be a classic and guess what the same thing could happen to illmatic, you think nas owns any of his music and i mean any????
and as far as failure as ceo, def jams doing pretty damn well show me a hip-hop label selling more units now? maybe interscope but thats it yeah maybe its mostly due to jeezy and kanye but whatever the job is getting done and he is starting the def jam left to keep us real hip-hop heads happy and still run the label in a more than profitable way

The starrin role in “Hovito’s Way”
Say hooray to the bad guy, and all the broads
Puttin cars in they name for the stars of the game
Puttin ‘caine in they bras and their tomorrows on the train
All in the name of love
Just to see that love locked in chains and the family came
Over the house to take back, everything that they claimed
Or even the worst pain is the distress
Learnin you’re the mistress only after that love gets slain
And the anger and the sorrow mixed up leads to mistrust
Now it gets tough to ever love a-gain
But the allure of the game, keeps callin your name

^urban myth. he said on the shit he was just borrowing the beat. he was giving joe dap. come on, yall niggas always trying to rationalize the joe buddens situation. look the nigga will come out sometime next year when he and they figure out how to market this unmarketable character.
its known they both did it on some playful shit but jay didnt expect to get outdone like that especially when he brought such heat, thats when he knew joey would be a problem.
how is he unmarketable – he should be the most marketabul dude alive there is no rapper we can all relate to as much as regular joe if you people would give him the chance and listen to him you would realize he touches on anything and everything and no matter who you are where your from you can relate to the things that regular joe says, the idea that he is unmarketable is retarded he is the most normal and verstile artist out

that swagger jack shit is actually stupid. somebody name one rapper who hasn’t quoted somebody else’s lyrics? that part of hiphop, if you rhyming, you listening. no one is 100% original. it is impossible. nas was swagger jacking rakim. rakim was swagger jacking the five percenters. the five percenters were swagger jacking the nation of islam…shut up with that weak bullshit already. everybody quote what they like. jay one of the most swagger jacked niggas in history so I guess it all even out.
btw how nas allow wifey to son him on her bossy single? she steppin on niggas in her video with high heels n’shit.

if you want to convince me that he’s still good or something, then tell me some good songs after Reasonable Doubt. i have already said thats a classic album, one of my all-time favorites. he doesnt have anything good after that. Blac Album had awful beats. “I’m high off life, fuck it im wastedâ€. come on, thats fucking corny. NaS didnt just have Illmatic, he had a classic with It Was Written and a 4.5 with Lost Tapes. then every album, he came with a least 2 classic songs (NY State Of Mind Pt. 2, NaS Is Like, Favor For A Favor, Life We Chose, Last Words, Family, 2nd Childhood, One Mic, Last Real N***a Alive, Thugz Mansion NY, Sekou Story, Bridging The Gap, Just A Moment, etc.)
nothing to say to someone that brainwashed
how is ” im high of life fuck it im wasted ” corny. how was the black album full of awful beats are you serious, ill give you one justify my thug that beat and hook was horrible but thats it, and you wanna talk about bad production by jay but your claiming to be a nas stan????
dog step your rap game up most the songs i named were after reasonable doubt and if you really want i can go on for days
June 20th, 2006 at 12:08 pm
that song was dissing everybody who dissed him for the negative aspects of his music. that sure wasnt no single or club anthem.
you asked me if i listened to anything but diss records and singles now what are you saying????

ITS A DISS SONG, READ THE SENTENCE YOU QUOTED ME ON.

June 20th, 2006 at 12:11 pm
yeah dear summer had a wack beat. and yeah technically he took some subliminals 9 but thats the song wehere he said if it aint directly directed at me i dont respect it, meaning he was calling all the ones taking subliminals at him to say his name and it would be on, jay’s subliminals arent really subliminals, the hustlin remix wasnt subliminal anyone who thinks so is retarded but jay is smart enough to know if he mentions camrons name in a song it probably sells him atleast another 100,000 copies

Why wouldnt JZ use nas on his 1st single as a hook. Bcus he was really a fan of Nas like evrybody else was. So the more an more music JZ made the more simliar there styles became. But jz went for the money instead of originality which lead to songs like Big pimpin & etc. While nas kept inventin more style for the rap game like the gun song or ryhmin stories backwards. Okay i was actually looking for the comments to my earlier statement about Nas being better lyrically than Jay.
Basically because i almost agree with them. So i guess we can agree to disagree on that.
But tell me who have you known that we would consider a great rapper/MC to copy Jay style, Nas has been copied by a lot of people starting with 2pac and Jay Z, jsut to name greats.
I mean Nas has put out classic material dont try to make it seem like it was all trash outside of illmatic and while i love Reasonable doubt it is not as hot as illmatic you can call RD as street as you want to, but when it all comes down to it Illmatic is a better album.
I think 456 or maybe it was joe or tb that said blueprint 2, that jay comes with it lyrically, well maybe i thought that album had no gifts and was all cursed so after trying to listen to it about 10 times i gave up i was very disappointed.

REASONABLE DOUBT VS. ILLMATIC
Both great albums and will go down as classics but if you had to choose which one is better you would have to say Illmatic just off of the fact that when it came out it had a way more impact as verses Reasonable Doubt which didn’t get noticed till later after vol.1 & 2 came out.

^The whole name came from a on going joke. Back in the day when a nigga was on the block heavy (I know alot of niggas can relate) we use to always run to sales didn’t matter if they were on foot, in a car, on a bike, spaceship, it didn’t matter so the older heads use to always be like “damn youngin you running to sales like it’s 88 or something” (88 as in the year) after a while it just stuck to me. so whenever i went to a different part of b-more to hustle i just told niggas my name was 88. true story. & the joe came from my homeboy I use to stay over his house for the weekend (party, bring bitches over, etc) so he use to call me joe friday but i just took the friday off & added the 88

Lol @ sayin’ the broads round Mondawmin don’t work. That’s why I can’t rock with them. They lookin’ for some dollas and I’m not the one. Plus hood chicks look at me funny because I don’t rock the baggy ish no more. Lexington is actually one block over from where I work. But if you really wanna bag a nice one, you gotta go one block down and one block over by the hospital and UMAB. Fine ass chicks, most nurses and med students.

“RAPPIN ON A BLOG”=CORNY AND FOR LOSERS WITH NO LIVES..AN ACTIVITY FOR PEOPLE WITH LOW INCOMES THAT NORMALLY WOULD BE OUT ON THE CORNER SNATCHIN POCKETBOOKS OR SHOOTIN UP DOPE SOMEWHERE.
“BLOGGIN ABOUT RAPPERS”= FUN, EXCITING AND GROUND BREAKING DEFINITELY FOR WINNERS WITH LIVES OF THEIR OWN, AN ACTIVITY DONE BY WEALTHY BLACK KIDS WITH SIGNIFICANT DISPOSABLE INCOMES THAT RELATE TO RAPPERS AND THEIR ACTIONS ON EVERY LEVEL.

as for the Joe 88 comment, i know it was foul but he’s a Jay stan so he gets no mercy
he does not i repeat does not have a worcestor accent ( funny thing is you specify worcestor mass. like its way different from boston or other parts of mass, its not. but the funniest part of what your saying is your reasoning is completely backward you say he sounds like he is from mass cause he says nigger instead of nigga when infact the thing about a masshole accent is they do NOT pronounce R’s hence the ” i paked my ca in the havad yad ” so they dont pronucounce the R but when saying nigger then massholes make sure to use the R right? please take a deep breath and try to think rationally for a second your all over the place ( no wonder your such a nas fan you cant even make up your mind as to why you hate jay and like nas you contridct your everything you say in the next sentence so i can see why your such a stan.

YES, JAY HAS A FUCKING WORCESTOR MASSACHUSETTS ACCENT, THATS WHY HE SAYS “JIGGER†INSTEAD OF “JIGGAâ€. IM QUESTIONING IF HE REALLY FROM BROOKLYN…
again people in mass. do NOT pronounce their R’s so him saying jigger ( which i dont hear anyway i defintely hear jiggaaa ) would mean he doesnt have a masshole accent. now if he was trying to say jigger and nigger but couldnt and everytime it came out awkardly like jigGA or nigGA then maybe i could see the worcester comments but otherwise your way off base with that? where are you even from?

I predicted 3 times plat, more like 6,…wow nothing like stanism, but on another note…
This chick called me at my Earths crib and I just happened to be there. It was a collection agency trying to get money from an old dentist bill from a few years back. she sounded good on the phone, so after we completed the transaction I said how sweet her voice was and asked how she looked. To my suprise she actually responded with ” I’m really cute, gave me her age complexion weight ht, everything. So after a few minutes choppin’ it up on the phone, I said ” so whats up, do you want to meet” she said sure. That seemed a little suspect to me what cute girl just freely gives up all her info like that to a dude she never met. So I delved a little deeper and asked her one last question before hanging up the phone, I said ” what tha azz look like” cause I was feeling quite pimpish and kinda bold, ” and she replied “thats not an appropiate question to ask a lady”. So in my mind I’m like oh boy whatever! you know. Anyway she said I’ll transfer you to one of my co-workers and you can ask him whatever you want about me, and she actually transfered me to this herb sounding dude, he like talked real proper with a deep voice, and was like she’s an eight, scale 1-10. So now I’m gased the fuck up, he transferes me back to her and we arrange a time that where gonna meet later on that night. 10:15pm was the time we agreed on and I was on her door steps not a minute later, I picked up some fruit flavored Arbon mist for her just to loosen the draws incase it was going down. Rings the bell and hears footsteps coming down the stairs, she cracks the door and sticks her face halfway out, so I didnt really get a good look, she said ” hold on, let me put the dog in the room. So I’m like on the porch waiting to see the chick who I just happened to meet on the phone earlier that day, and a thousand thoughts are runnin through my mind. She comes back and opens the door wide…

I slow dance with the devil
Snow setting in the bezzle
Mo’ sipping, Phantom
Bumping Aaron Neville
Polo black scented
Eyes squinted
Air Force One’s
With my own patent in it
Fresher than a star glowing up in the galaxy
Pagan holidays are way far from my reality
Far through Evisu jeans, lethal green
Oliver Peoples shades when I creep through Queens
With no AK’s, I’m the ambassador
Robin Hood in the Aston-Mart’
Lotta blood gonna splash in war
Task force, homicide, federalies, gonna harass
But y’all ain’t gonna see nothing
Not a word, not a hint
On the kid from the project bench
That went– Sony BMG
To that new conglomerate
Island Def Jam
Guess how many dollars was spent
To get the best man
Y’all niggas ain’t silencing shit
Ya niggas been wanna polish the dick
The big Benz, ???, ya chick
Was act posing, cash froze her
Cats stroke her, once I smash, it’s over
Cold like ice, more chains than slaves
Dangerous ways, Poltergeist
Change the channel, roll the dice
I bring change when I gamble
I could sell sand to a Arab
Hot and my gun handle
The ill whip pusher
My spit wet ya
If you stand close to the woofer
Bet’cha get sprayed by my lecture
Any club with ladies or dimes, I’m a regular
Give it up smooth, I ain’t begging ya
Intelligent brainiac, brains maniac
Back of the Maybach
Taste that, don’t waste that
Eat with my elbows top of the table
Street etiquette with speech impediments
And still see presidents
No matter who paid
Cause you ain’t take the last dollar made
Long as they keep printing it, there’s chances of getting it
Money’s my bitch, and we stay intimate
Ask about Nashwan, could ask about Jung
Ask about Bravehearts, and ask where I’m from
Q-Boro, specifically The Bridge
Don’t ask no more question, you know where it is
Whether chrome-sparking or loan sharking
Busting rachets or numbers rackets or drug traffic
My funds are wrapped up, no concerns who has what
Financer, skull doo wrapped up
Mob life, prizefights
Plasma TVs or first floor
Diversified all my circle
Amid the most sickest groom
The proof swiftness
Numero uno, annuit to wet this
That’s the language of our Latin ancestors
On the back of a dollar, the plan and the message
In the Rolls Royce like the King of Nigeria
My criteria — smoke cigars
Change rap like Jimi Hendrix
Changed rock and roll with a broke guitar
Diamonds flashing
Almost put a million cash in
My mommy casket
Seen more green than St. Patrick

I think it’s a pretty hot record. The flow is bananas. The beat is dope to me. I think what’s lacking is the hook and I think the lyrics come off a little too materialistic at times but, overall it’s a nice track. Probably just a leak to feed the heads; not an official single. Welcome back, Nas. I’m looking forward to the album.
