Well the guy who made that statement regarding the Cristal Brand is the majority stockholder-in many ways he doesn’t need permission. His family invented it for some Louis the King type figure. It’s like Walmart-privately owned and operated and it stays in the family. They actually discontinued making it in the early 1900’s ( 1917-I think) and then began to remake it again in the 1940’s. The companies sales took in huge profits late 90’s and early 00’s ( in accordance to the name dropping of its brand by rappers etc..-which places 8th in the hiphop lyrics and brand promo correlation). Just thought you all should know =)

Why does it always have to be about race or raciest? I don’t think it has anything to do with being black or not. I don’t think the Cristal maker/owner hates black people or rappers.
It seems like its more about getting a bad reputation from the people that make songs about bitches & ho’s, being a player, being a thug. Cristal is expensive, they want to have a classy rep. and they feel the rap community may cause a negative reflection on their brand. I don’t think he’s saying rappers can’t/shouldn’t drink it.

Dont believe that article on that tommy shit. It has been whispered around in black fashion that tommy has said something to that affect. Two dudes who worked in the fashion industry over heard dude say that. Plus, think about it. His clothes when they first came out were really high price, and for whites. He didnt even have black folks modeling his clothes.

Have you guys even seen rich girls on mtv? You guys can believe any article. I’m not saying that he said it, what I am saying is that It has not been 100 percent proven that he didnt say it.

Plus who really gives a fuck that his sales went down, and why as we as blacks should care about it? We shouldnt have been buying that bullshit anyway.
