hey son black people was doing some crazy shit too when the hurricane hit. I mean I made up a fake address and even got my own fema trailor. I know that I probably will get caught and maybe have to do some time, but fuck it, I was on some fake desperation shit.

Niggas was going to the strip clubs with they debit card, When fema started handing out that 2000, you seen mad niggas with mad gear. They was fresh to death. Chains, air ones, rocawear etc.

Niggas hit up redcross like it was nothing. Redcross was just handing out money. All you had to do was make up a social security address and make up how many kids you got and you got a quick 2500.

Niggas and whites was living in 200 dollar a night hotels. I know one girl that had fema paying her rent, she had a hotel, and trailor. So niggas was scheming dog. I was right in the heart of that shit, and I aint even from the N.O. I had been living in the BR for a year so when they came from the storm, all chaos broke loose.

But white people was doing their dirt too. But mad project niggas was getting broke off major bread. But when january come mad niggas will be broke.

Fema was giving out 2000 for katrina then 2300 for rita. Then after that they was giving out money away, and then you still had a free place to live. Niggas was doing some shit though.

But when I look back. I say I am glad that niggas was doing all this foolish shit and fucking fema, cause that is what they deserved. The mentality was “i’m going to fuck these niggas for everything they got” and thats what people were doing. getting back at the government. As long as we let them, or give them a reason to they will continue to do so. We never put up people on a pedestal who deserve it, instead we put the ones who give us a bad name, and on Cosby and Oprah, what they need to do is to get together and buy a pro-black station, not a cable network and show the kids that we can be more than athletes and rappers. If you wanna that arguement, then we could say that these people were living in hell before the hurricane. So being that they came from nothing, it would seem that the little you get should be put towards something so that you can get MORE. For instance, buying a greyhound ticket to another place where the property is relatively cheap (i.e. the Carolinas, VA), post up in a shelter, find you a little job, and get back on your feet. Am I sayin’ it’s that easy? No. But dawg, nothing in life worth attaining is easy. The REAL slave mentality is thinking that these mofos owe you somethin’. Technically, on paper, yeah they owe us more than what a few dollars could ever pay for. The strife Blacks had to endure in this country is known worldwide. yo i damn near download everything which is what most people who generally love all type of music do, now occasionally i will buy an artist album if i feel that he wont do at least gold, but for the most part i am downloading everything i will support them when they do a show or something at least they are seeing some of that money. You live in Section 8 housing. Your rent is $20 amonth. You get $150 in food stamps. no bills.
