…when Pac 1st came out with 2pacalypse Now and then strictly for my niggas, he used more diverse flows AND his lyrical content was more about fighting oppresion and empowering black/brown people (Trapped, Brenda’s got a Baby, Keep ya Head Up, Souljah’s Revenge)…it seems like after he got robbed in NY, dude turned somewhat bitter and paranoid, and started to feel he had to certify his growing thug persona…unfortunately that switch in his persona was a luractive career move because he gained numerous followers, imitators and material wealth…when it became clear that ther whole “Thug Life” movement was picking up steam, it was too late, Pac became a follower of his own movement instead of the leader…his flow started to get repetitive and his business decisions (except for movies) would hurt his career…no hate, but i think his greatness in HipHop has been profoundly exagerrated…
