I kinda figured Proof’s shooter wasn’t gonna get charged after the court already established his retaliation as self-defense. It’s still sad it had to go down like that.
I guess Star figured, “fuck it”… since they’re gonna take him down he decided to snitch and hopefully earn some redemption. Say it with me people: “be-dump-bump” (yall gotta actually hear it to appreciate that one, lol).
Interscope would be a good look for the dude for his BlackWallStreet label. Had he not recklessly dissed Jay, Def Jam would have been a better move.

Sorry, but I can’t be mad at Landlord for expressing his views. For one, after seeing the DaVinci Code and the outrage against it, it’s obvious how heavily guarded Christianity is in this society. They were tellin’ me about the worms that live in your rectum and eat off the feces. They said it stems from poor diet and eating things such as dairy, red meat, pork and fried foods. They recommended eating whole grains over white bread and soy over dairy. I’m health conscience as well so I know where you’re coming from (pause).

Foekist and Reggae… I was breakin’ down to Ty Biggs last time about the Mike Epps show because it wasn’t funny to me either. He’s a good comedic actor, and he’s good for short stand-ups (BET), but not a whole hour. He doesn’t have any transition in his jokes. He had these long, awkward pauses in the middle of the jokes. I bet othere comedians were watching it the same way I was.
Know what’s some funny shit though? George Lopez’s standup on Comedy Central. The way he describes Mexican culture is damn near parallel with Black people. Yall gotta check that out. And a shocker was watching Kevin James (King of Queens, Hitch) do a stand-up special. He was funny as hell.

Landlord… I understand how you feel but everybody isn’t built for political humor. These are the categories of comedians:
Political
Punchliners (also know as one-liners)
Story tellers
Physical comedy (impressionists)
Political humor is very hard to make funny sometimes which is why Rock and Dave are considered comedic geniuses. It’s not easy to twist current events into a routine for your show. Of the ones you mentioned, I think AJ Johnson is funny as hell! That nigga started doing jokes about him being in actin’ class and a gay dude was actin’ as the criminal shootin’ the gun, I damn near fell out. I’d like to see more comedians do poli humor too, but everyone isn’t good at it. Eddie Murphy is still the king to me because he was able to incorporate all 4 into his routine (even though Paul Mooney and Keenan Ivory Wayne wrote and produced a few them shits, respectively). It’s good that we have a balance. For instance, the dude Talent is a Punchliner but is great at that. Godfrey, Punchliner and political, but is good at that.
