One thing about those in the Bay that is has been consistent (but vastly different everywhere else in the US as time goes on) is the motivation and willingness to protest and support grassroots movements. Obviously, from reading this article, this is still the case.

And hyphy still does promote more dancing than anything. New York and down south can’t even respond to that.

My review of “The Big Bang Advance” By Busta Rhymes.

01 - Wheres Your Money (Feat ODB)
This is probably one of the better songs on the album. Good beat, ODB actually spits a decent verse. Kind of like a tribute to him in a sense.

02 - I Love My Bitch (Feat. Kelis & Will.I.Am)
Typical garbage that they will play in a club because they will be paid to play something for people to dance to. Reminds me of the Fat Joe “Lean Back” beat, but worse.

03 - Ping
This sounds like it took samples from porno songs, then it breaks down into some of Bustas vintage shitty flow. with one of those nursery rhymes sounding beats, not impressed.

04 - Psycho (Feat. Cassidy & Papoose)
I enjoyed this track minus Cassidy who stills talk about how hes “using guns to put people down” kid doesnt learn. Papoose with his standard almost witty flow. Busta boring as usual.

05 - Hustling (Remix ft Rick Ross)
I didn’t even listen to this song, first of all cause Rick Ross makes Bow Wow look like Rakim and second of all I don’t listen to shitty club songs remixed to feature “rapper of the week”.

06 - Touch It
“I dont think they’re ready for this” Nope guess not, skip. Pretty much “Fire it Up 2006″ without the fire.

07 - I’ll Hurt You (Feat Eminem)
I had high hopes for this track, Storch beat feat Eminem.. But it boils down to some overrated rhyming and them singing together, bad.

08 - NY Shit (Feat Swizz Beats)
I’m sure everyones heard this track, but yeah its still heat. I would have been happier if they had a remix with someone else as opposed to that hustlin remix.

09 - Cannon - (feat TI And DJ Drama)
Never been a fan of TI, still spitting that violent shit that gets his friends shot. People don’t learn. Beat is OK, nothing new in terms of content/rhymes same old boring shit.

10 - Address me as Mister (Feat Papoose)
This must be a song directed at Papoose “address me as Mr. or I’m gonna scream on you through speakerphone” both have pretty good verses, but not the kind of track I’d have on repeat.

11 - For the Nasty (Feat Q Tip)
Where you been Tip? I like this track. maybe just cause I heard it in my ride first and it bumps good. But I wish Tribe would make a new album.

12 - Get that Gwop (Feat Slim Thug)
This song should be “Slim Thug feat Busta” cause Busta sounds like a nun in a strip joint, very out of place. Not impressed Busta.

13 - Look Who (Feat Dr Dre)
This song was on that Clinton Sparks mixtape, I always liked it, good production, rhymes all that shit.

14 - Kryptonite (remix) Big Boi feat. Busta Rhymes
Not bad Big Boi spits pretty well, without Andre he just sounds like another southern act, unoriginal. Good til they repeat “im on it” 100x.

15 - Gettin’ Some (Remix) (Feat. Various Artists)
This song just sucks. Sounds like Twista with down syndrome.

16 - I know y’all mad (Feat Mike Jones)
Yeah I’m mad, you tricked me into listening to mike jones again.. Who? Yeah that fucker Mike Jones.

17 - Touch It (Part II) (Feat. Various Artists)
As if part 1 wasn’t bad enough. I think Missy is on this track she gets cut off by someone. It’s the 15 second verse track. I like papooses verse, til he too gets cut off. I’ll comment on flipmode later.

18 - Get Right (Bonus Feat Papoose)
We all heard this through the EskayFeature, but its still a decent track, nothing too fancy.

Ok well there you go for those who can read this much at one time, thank you for making it to the summary of the review. Overall this album was _VERY_ disappointing but i’d like to give a shout out to KB for hooking me up. The only track I encourage you all to listen to is the ODB track.

I thought the Mobb Deep album was disappointing..
