2 People Shot…At A Bow Wow Show?
SAN JOSE — Two people suffered gunshots wounds late Wednesday night after gunfire erupted in a parking lot near San Jose’s H-P Pavilion following the "Bomb 21" concert featuring Rap stars Bow Wow and E-40.
San Jose police Officer Gina Tepoorten said the shooting was reported at 11:41 p.m. at West Santa Clara and Montgomery streets. The men’s wounds are not considered life-threatening. Tepoorten said one man was shot in the leg and the other in his "lower extremities."
I saw this story this morning and for some reason it didn’t register but I just came across the headline again and it hit me: Gunfire Erupts After "Bow-Wow" Rap Concert. WTF? That’s really kind of crazy because there was alot of talk after the T.I. incident about whether or not the content of the music is contributing to the seemingly endless violence plaguing our community over the last few years, and then this happens.
Now, I subconsciously tune out anything by Bow Wow whenever it’s playing in my vicinity so I can’t really speak on his content, but I’m pretty sure he’s not spitting any shoot-em-up, bang-bang, nigga-die-slow shit. Of course E-40 was also performing at the same concert so that may explain why certain audience members walked out of the venue and felt the need to "get dumb."

These deep running conspiracy theories hold no weight in my book. They never made sense to me because you always have to assume that everybody involved is perfect, and if it is anything I have learned by now is that everybody is human and makes the same mistakes and has the same flaws as everybody else. Maybe we went to Iraq just because our nation elected a religious zealot who’s administration believes that they were doing the right thing by taking out that dictator. What is treasonous to me about this is that the United States has gained absolutely nothing from this war in Iraq. Hell, if we went in there just to take the oil, at least I could feel we gained something. But no, we fought this war just so those Christian fucks could feel good about themselves. There is no way we are going to get our tax money back, our dead soldiers back, or anything back, but hey, at least G. Dub can sleep well knowing an Iraqi won’t be in a rape room. And that is to me is treason, fighting a war not for our sake, but for somebody else’s.

This has got to be the worst week as far as hip-hop is concerned that I can remember. This shit has got to stop. Much respect for posting about Big Hawk- he is a Texas legend. I know this is mainly a east coast blog butt its all hip hop right? Pretty soon its gonna go back to the Pac-era where rappers can’t do any shows due to insurance security concerns i.e. Las Vegas.

To clarify things, it wasn’t a Bow Wow concert! There were a lot of Bay Area artists (San Jose is a 45 minute ride from Oakland, Richmond, S.F, East Palo Alto etc.) there to represent to be exact.

Let’s set the record straight. Someone already clarified things a bit.
To begin with the media idiots who want us all to blog list the concert as being “Bow Wow’s”. Doesn’t mean sh**. In reality ClearChannel just books whoever is hot ON THE RADIO. Outside of young teenage girls who watch his music video- we don’t care about him- and Bow has no connection to real things that go on outside usually with young cats who can’t afford to get in to the event and look for action with girls outside.
The Bay came to see Mistah F.A.B., Federation and E-40. 80% of the crowd at least. ClearChannel wants us to come for the other artists who they play on the radio non-stop but if you are outside of the bay then you might not really have heard enough of our sounds to understand that.
It’s always a lot of fake a$$ marks and morons hanging outside after these concerts. A few years ago when Ludacris, Lil Jon, etc were there,
the same type stuff was going on outside. A few fake pimps tried to speak to one of my girls on the way out. Even one shirtless dude a few blocks away tried to put his hands on her and got smacked. Believe me, bloggers and such shouldn’t feed in so much to those lame headlines, “2 Shot at BOW WOW concert” hahahaha
People just show up where the action is. Nobody cares about Bow Wow’s sorry crotch-grabbing A$$. All he did at the concert was try to get people to believe that he was down with “Hyphy”. He did the same with Crunk although he is from Ohio. And when New York is hot again he will change up again.
