Wow… a pic with Lupe, 40, and LL and everybody blowin’ this ish outta proportion. Freeway did a joint venture with 50’s label. Did that make me not like him? No. M.O.P. signed with them. Did that make me not like them? No. Mobb Sleep on the other hand? YES. Why? Because it’s not about the label, nitwits (i.e. Bugsy), but the mentality that’s associated with the brand. Mobb changed their whole style just to appeal to the masses. MOP and Freeway didn’t. Mobb got tats on their body with G Unit logos. MOP and Freeway didn’t. That’s because they have integrity and aren’t willing to sell their souls for a dollar. These guys aren’t attempting to change their sound or core audience. What they are doing is getting the financial backing so that MORE people who like their music can have access to it. Not to appeal to a crowd that never has no interest in who they are. And who knows? Maybe they will create more fans along the way because of the exposure who are into their kind of music. The whole point of getting signed to a major is financial funding, not creative control.
And for the record, Lupe has a joint venture deal with Atlantic and his own brand, FNF (1st and 15th).

Mobb Deep album is the best total album off G-Unit ever and I liked Buck album and I thought Banks album was underrated because his punch lines were crazy on that album and his first 7 tracks are crazy but Banks is by far the savior even though this Mobb Deep album got me thinking they bout to put the unit on they back…. The manager/A&R/promoter was askin’ the chicks to stand next to him for a pic. And had other students holdin’ up flyers and shit.

50 Cent Fighting Childhood Obesity
NEW YORK - 50 Cent has sold millions of records serving kids from the hood to the ‘burbs a steady diet of gangsta rap.
Now, he’s part of a new campaign to make his young fans healthier.
50 is a spokes-rapper and judge for a nationwide cooking competition aimed at preventing childhood obesity by improving high school students’ eating habits. It is sponsored by Glaceau, the company partly owned by the rapper and that sells his grape-flavored Vitamin Water drink, Formula 50.
Student chefs in cities including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Seattle will compete to create the most “nutrient-rich” cafeteria lunch recipe, Glaceau has announced. The winner will receive a $100,000 college scholarship.
In an interview with The Associated Press earlier this week, 50 said he thinks “it’s a lot more difficult for kids” to stick to a healthy diet.
50, who has bared his washboard abs on album covers, said he wasn’t always so physically fit.
“I had all of the unhealthy habits,” the 29-year-old rapper said. “Soda … a lot of fast food, all those things.”
Today, he exercises regularly and - thanks to a personal chef - eats nutritious meals.
“I have someone that I can actually have prepare the food for me, so it’s a huge difference than just getting McDonald’s or Burger King,” he said.
He said he tries to avoid sweets, sneaking soda when it’s “available,” but often substituting it, naturally, with Glaceau beverages. The savvy businessman, who has his own record label, G-Unit, and a sneaker line with Reebok, said his refrigerator is stocked with “a lot” of the drinks.
“It’s a better reflection of my lifestyle,” he said. “I don’t drink alcohol and I don’t need an energy drink.”
