Let’s keep it real. There is good music everywhere. When 50 says what he says it was for a reason. Field Mob has done it for the same reason. This is a publicity stunt! I think a lot of southern artists and fans alike feel the same way…this could be the key to opening a whole new floodgate of opinions… I was raised in memphis,Tn… spent time In DC, NY MD, so I get torn sometime, but I alwayz seem to ride for the south, cause that what I call home…so I feel ESKAY whan he says

But i can’t really blame Shawn J 4 his opinions, there r alot of cats up north who feel the same way, and they feel the need to address it at their shows, during interviews and everywhere else…oddly enough, and I feel guilty for saying this…but it felt refreshing to see someone stand-up and say something in this type o f manner…to me, outside of northern dialect jokes, they didn’t say any bad things about the north…there were no ignorant generalizations, like u frequently hear about the south…they just shared their perceptions of what they see from NY artists…”no fuck-NY mentality there” Plus, I NEVER heard any southern act say anything bad about the NORTH, ever…until now…to me its tyme somebody says something…just keep it on wax…I’d like to seem some east/south LYRICAL battles…maybe this can help NY grab that crown they so despratetly want…but all if this does happen, alot of money is gonna b lost. Nowadays eastcoast artists (like dipset)have a southern fan-base, and artists like T.I. and Jezzy have fans up north.

im with you again. everyone needs to stop hating an generalizing people together weather its by race or region i know mad ghetti gnorant thug black guys and i know mad smart articulate college bound polite and proper black men i know white trash scum of the earth racist assholes and i know mad cool chill white people its all relative and to hate on someone from where they are from or the color of their skin is the same shit that got us to the point that we are at now and to just try and switch it and continue to call all whites devils that shit aint gonna help blacks progress at all the more. its like a player in basketball drives to the hoop think he gets fouled and stops to complain to the ref how he got robbed and foulded meanwhile the guy he should be defnding took the rebound down court and slammed it home to win the game all while the dude was complaining to the ref, complaing does nothing but give you something to do, complaining gets you no where. yea obvioulsy your avg. black man/women still faces a more difficult life ahead of them and is generally a harder path to follow but there are plenty of black people who done came up from nothing and have turned them and their families around and they will know be caked up living comfortably in the burbs until the world ends, and those people didnt complain they got up off there asses and fought against the grain and made it do what it do. so if all these others can make it past the persicution of “the white man” why cant the others?

Well, I haven’t viewed the clip yet, but I saw this coming. I just didn’t think it would be from these 2 clowns. I mean, I was a fan when they dropped the “Sick of Being Lonely” shit. I thought it was creative, lyrical, and fun at the same time. Not to mention it was hot on radio. And I even liked the “Georgia” ish. But what we as fans, and more importanly as Black (and Hispanic) people, shouldn’t do is let these yukkity-yuks perpetuate the stereotype that is prevalent throughout hip hop and the Black community. Yes, Ghost and Sai did speak against the South but it was only in terms of the quality of music, not the region as a whole. As Sai already said, his mother and much of his family from South. Therefore, him dissin’ the region as a whole would be asinine. And as for Ghost dissin’ D4L, even Jeezy had jokes for them on the latest mixtape he’s on being hosted by KaySlay. I hope Luda isn’t co-signing this nonsense, but if he is then he should be ashamed of himself. He had a lot of respect on the Northeast because he’s lyrical and you know we respect that more than anything else. And I must co-sign with Joe 88 about Lil Wayne’s lyrical content and ability. Because in the past with the 500 Degreez album, I could hear him desperately attempting to copy the State Property, Philly flow. His whole style and demeanor these days is all Northeast swagger, anyone can see that. But also I’ve noticed the adoption of Southern slang and dialect by Northeasters, and personally it makes me sick to my stomach. This so-called is just another form of segregation that mainstream (white) media will use to attempt to sell records and stir controversy. Don’t allowed yourself to be swindled by the propaganda. Even Little Brother, who are the most lyrical and Stic.man from Dead Prez, said that the South has never been known for the content and substance like music from the Northeast (Public Enemy) and West (NWA) has been able to do. And this is also why Little Brother and Dead Prez sell out shows in the Northeast region, because people respect their ability to lyrical and poised. The Ghetto Boys did their thing in the 80’s and early 90’s. And even a few of the early No Limit and Cash Money in the early 90’s had something to say. But like I said, it isn’t about where you’re from, it’s the content of the music. Because right now, every fuckin’ mixtape in the Northeast sounds the same… straight retarded. I think we need to see the bigger picture…

I really dont know what Field Mob said but I probably would agree. Comming from some of the best lyrisists from the south I cant help but to agree. I like the quality music New York was putting out back in the day. But right now New York is straight garbadge. They made a boring attempt to try to get crunk (Dipset). They copy southern beats and then try to justify it. Its cool though because what goes around comes around.
