DAVE MAYS ATTACKED?
THIS IS A RUMOR. I don’t know if this is true, but people are sure talking about it. I heard that Dave Mays was at Club Opium in Miami and was approached by a certain “affiliated” rapper (who IS NOT 50 Cent). Apparently, Mays said something about this rapper on the radio and the rapper wasn’t pleased at the words said. Rumor has it, the security got out of control as the words flew and somebody struck the former Source mogul. And after that, “Yada, Yada, Yada!” I heard there were a number of rappers at that particular club and nobody was able to help. Whew, I wonder what Zino is going to do/say about this one! If memory serves me correct, Dave abides by the codes of the streets – no cops! Should this be true, we may never know! I DO hope this is false, but are cats wilding now that Dave no longer runs The Source?

Dipset Signs Jay-Z Swagger Jacker
I know I’m not the only person who’s heard this Jay-Z swagger jacker Noe Money (yeah that’s really his name) that is signed to Dipset. I haven’t seen anybody really talking about him, and I wonder what the Dipset cult members have to say about this. This guy sounds even more like Jay-Z than that kid Angelous that was out a while back, and of all of the places he could’ve landed, he ended up on Cam’s label.
He wouldn’t be the first rapper who tried to get on by jacking a proven vet’s style, Gureilla Black and Shyne are two names that immediately come to mind. But in this case, I don’t understand what this dude’s purpose on Dipset could possibly be. Are they seriously going to put out a rapper who sounds just like their sworn enemy, or are they just gonna keep him around to do fake Jay-Z voice overs on their skits and what not?
On homey’s Myspace page it says that he appeared on a song onJim Jones’s album, but the track list only mentions Juelz Santana. It also claims that he’s “collaborated” with AZ and Jay himself, but I’m having a hard time believing that one. I don’t know what’s worse, that artists are still trying to get on by literally doing their best Jay-Z impression, or that record execs think fans are actually gonna fall for this nonsense.

Nas, Common, Talib Kweli, Erykah Badu and Mos Def have signed on to join the group onstage for the tributes.
Proceeds from the event will go to Dilla’s two young children and pay off thousands of dollars in
