This 1 can go either way. Niggas n the streets don’t really respect Mobb Deep but they dig they music. Have is nice with the beats an to a nigga who don’t know better would think prodigy a cold killa. Me personally I don’t think G unit can do anything for Mobb that they could’nt do for they self. That move had to be strictly financial on they part because they jumped on it too fast. One reason it could work though because they can sell to a whole different audience( cross over). If that don’t happen they fucked because I don’t think a million fans of infamous the album are fans of the new Mobb Deep only time will tell

Personally, I hven’t really been checkin’ Mobb Deep’s music since Murda Muzik.

Amerikaz Nightmare wasn’t that bad though.

I hope this doesn’t have too many G-Unit affiliates on it, and it could be good.

The cover is good, but that border is unnecessary and looks dumb, it would look much better with it off.

I love their music. They been acting a lil strange lately tho. But we all have to do some moves we really aint too proud of at times in our jobs, just to bring food to the table.

So, to break it down:
To rappers this is a job. To us(fans) this is music.

These people are not super-heroes, they dont have super-powers, they are regular dudes who started with almost nothin, and I will always admire how they made it big, and sometimes they have to do some shit we dont agree with. But fuck it, I dont FOLLOW them(rappers) I simply listen to their songs. If this was the POPE smoking crack, then I would worry and be all over his business, but its P and Hav! who cares, as long as they make hot music. However, Im not gonna be a hypocrit cuz I do enjoy to make fun of some of the shit sum rappers do, just for fun, but I dont make it a hobby. And that ballerina picture is stupid tho, dude was like 8, whatchu want him to do, hold a gun and sell crack?

this is what I think of rap, and in my opinion it is a HEALTHY way to see it in order to not fall into a ‘hater’ or ’stan’ category, and ALWAYS love rap for what it is, music. Example, I loved GRODT, I bought it twice(it broke) but I never bought The Massacre, not even the bootleg. If 50s next album is hot, I will buy it, if it sucks, I wont, period.

And yeah, the album will go platinum, Im thinking 2x. But goin 1xplatinum doesnt necesarily means success compared to the publicity money being spend.

But they been busting their ass for mad long, I think they deserve the exposure they are getting with GUnit. Unfortunately(for them) that exposure also comes with a lot of hate, from the hood. But I guess they dont care, since the hood is the main reason why they dont sell a lot/got love, because the hood buys bootlegs. Good Luck to them tho, just stop acting like groupies!

Yes I admit it, but I also have a handle on my stanness, where as some people let it control them. For instance, I’ll admit Jay has been neglecting hip hop at Def Jam lately, but it kills me to say it. I’ve heard Biggums refer to himself as a Buddens stan and that’s cool because we don’t let it make us irrational. You can be a stan and still live a normal life believe it or not.

No matter who you follow, weather it is Jay, Dre, 5-0, Em, Big. If you like their music, then listen to it. Ainâ€™t no WAY for Mobb Deep to put out serious numbers under G-Unit! I just picked up Blood Money. Its def Mobb but with the twist of G unit. I’ve been listening to Mobb since 1995, the infamous, hell on earth, Murda Muzik are the best we are gonna see of P and hav. They were never promoted right from the start. They were always underground. infamy was Ok and Americas Nightmare was ok too, def not classics. As for street credability, thats where there from, no rapper who makes it stays the same, why would they. So yes they went to G unit for the $$$. They gotta eat too. Blood Money is the last straw for me hav and P. Prodigy used to be the best until 2001. Prodigy had the dun language at one point that Jay Z couldn’t touch, not Nas. He’s old, he doesn’t get into shootouts anymore, he’s basically rappin about his past not present. This VIP ish is bullish. Hey Prodigy this is coming from a white boy from the burbs who bought every mob deep cd that came out. HNIC, you need to get that mentality back.
