C-Murder’s Conviction Overturned
It’s incredible how one day you can be sitting in prison serving a life sentence for murder and next thing you know you’re being told that you can go home. Yesterday the Louisiana Supreme Court overturned C-Murder’s conviction in the "when keeping it real goes wrong" slaying of 16 year old Steven Thomas back in 2002, and he is expected to be free on bond by Monday. The decision came when it was revealed that the prosecution witheld testimony from a witness after she changed her story and admitted she never actually saw him shoot the victim. So now he gets a new trial and if the prosecution decides not to retry him on the murder charges, he gets his life back.
What a filthy justice system we have in this country huh? It’s just amazing how the people running it can be so incredibly incompetent and corrupt to the point where they have no problem with potentially sending the wrong person away for the rest of their life. Now, I don’t know whether or not he did what he’s accused of, but either way the system just took a nice fat very public L. They just got exposed doing the type of shady dirt that lands countless innocent people behind bars every year, and I love it. What I dont love is how now, because of these underhanded maneuvers, Thomas’s family may have to watch his killer go free (whoever that may be). If C-Murder is in fact innocent, then it seems to me like the only person who comes out of this whole situation winning is the real killer.

That’s whats up,anytime a dude come home its good shit. I just hope the miller brothers dont put out no “music” to commemorate this. Welcome home C-Murder.

lol @ when keeping it real goes wrong.
I dunno how I feel about this. I think it was all a money thing. Someone is rotting away in prison right now and they probably did the same shit to him or her (i.e. mess up on evidence & witness testimonies).
money makes the world go ’round. but of course.

I’ll be honest with yall. C didn’t kill lil man it was a dude that fucks with him though and honestly lil man was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He snuck into the club males had to be 21 to enter, and females had to be 18 to enter that night I know cuz I was there. C should be freed but justice should be upheld also.
Now I know C won’t snitch its not in his bloodline and the Dude who killed lil man is also dead. So its a win lose situation…

Dear Mr. Cent,
May the fleas and ticks of a 1,000,000 Guerilla’s infest your crotch and may your arms be too short to scratch. If I wanted to hear a gangsta rap R&B singer I would by r.Kelly tapes. Stick to rap. BITCH!!!!

Bury dat muthafucka under the jail cells. I get soooo heated when I think of that niguh. Here is a muthafucka that had it all. But could he stay out of the clubs fucking with 16 year olds? Hell nah! He had to show everyone how THUG he is. Well, lets see how thug u is. You did tha crime now do the time, tough guy. Grrrr… I think Scarface said it best… “Do what you got to do and get back home safely to your familyâ€. True dat… you don’t have to be all up in the club showing the folks how tough you are. Thats the fastest why to get murked.
Peace and love Blood Hound… No homo.

c-murder was always the joke in the family anyways, you have silkk who can play basketball and rap for bitches, you have Masta P who can dance like frankenstein, but can make money by selling his idiotic stylings, then you have C murder who can..rap.. and..shoot..people…
i say out of the 3 bros, id like c murder to be locked up.
March 12th, 2006 at 12:14 pm
welcome home, let’s hope he can stay home.
March 12th, 2006 at 12:16 pm
The bigger picture here is the legal system being exposed for what it truely is. A lot of dudes are doing hard time thats innocent. Dont break the rules, but bend them mother fuckers, thats the key.
March 12th, 2006 at 12:17 pm
anyone knows what format plays the green lantern mix tape
March 12th, 2006 at 12:34 pm
yes the USA problems = people being locked up that are innocent
rest of the world = people that are dieing that are innocent
lets all take out the big hankees and cry.
just be happy you don’t get treated under the USA foreign policy instead of the USA domestic policy.
locked up or dead?
if you aren’t white its as easy for the USA to ask domestic or foreign?
locked up or dead?.
Complain all you want, but as a citizen of your country its your right to ACT and not just complain, so if you aren’t doing anything about it, why complain?
March 12th, 2006 at 1:07 pm
schmuck- the justice system actually prevailed/won here- it is our justice system that has a code of prosecutorial ethics wherby any exonerating or mitigating information must be disclosed in a criminal prosecution , here the prosecutor declined to fulfill his obligation and that materially prejudiced to outcome of C-MURDER’s defense- the reality is that the prosecutor probably thpught that the witness got spooked eithter autonomously or thru intimidation and wanted to “shot cut” any complication- but our legal system is DEEP -
March 12th, 2006 at 2:02 pm
Well he’s not really home yet, he is still in custody until he gets a set bond on other charges, which include shooting at police in Baton Rouge, La where he was arrested. And that’ll take place monday

Oh sweet Jesus.
Do you mean to tell me that an overzealous prosecution sent a black man to jail on trumped up charges? Are you saying that in a state known for its corruptness that a black man didn’t get a “fair” trial, and that the prosecution withheld evidence in an effort to put yet another man of color behind bars?
I’m not buying it.
To clarify, I’m buying the fact that it happened. What I’m not buying is the fact that we’re supposed to be surprised.
March 13th, 2006 at 12:45 am
Oh please people. None of us knows if he did it. We also don’t know if the witness was telling the truth the first time or the second time. Yall talkin about it’s good to come home from prison. Guess what if you don’t live a criminal lifestyle your changes of going to jail are slim. If his 30 something year old behind wants to hang out with killers at clubs frequented by teenagers then he has to accept the concequences of that shit. Hopefully the prospect of going to jail for the rest of his life will make his dumb ass grow up. If not I’d gladly see his ass back in jail whether he commits a crime or not. STAY AWAY FROM THAT BULLSHIT AND YOU WON’T BE GOING TO JAIL FOR SHIT YOU DIDN’T DO.

Why would you call yourself Murder if you are not a murderer. These rappers(actors) are contributing to their own bullshit.

not sure who cares…. just cuz u have a record deal doesn’t make u worth the news man.. does he even have an album out? oris he one of those people with like 11 albums out and no one’s ever heard a single song? hhahahaha
March 13th, 2006 at 7:01 pm
“does he even have an album out? oris he one of those people with like 11 albums out and no one’s ever heard a single song? hhahahaha”
Jesus… Don’t open your mouth if you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. He’s released 6 albums plus a couple with TRU… All of them didn’t sell like crazy but his debut “Life Or Death” went platinum and most of the rest are easily several times gold.
I don’t know, maybe you haven’t heard of No Limit in Canada… To busy pumping Choclair.
March 13th, 2006 at 7:38 pm
lol @ “several times gold” but yeah C-Murder’s done his numbers
March 15th, 2006 at 11:15 am
U know, I have really mixed feelings about this cat C Murder…
If I was indicting him on name and face alone…his ass would be a goner!
4 real however, I also realize that big names attract a certain element and it is easy for the police to pass them a bum rap.
However, I can’t get over the fact that a SIXTEEN year old child
( that’s awfully young) may have been KILLED by this old ass no rap skills having fart. If this b the case, I hope he rots in jail…
Somehow, someway, I think C murder had something 2 do with this child’s murder.
March 16th, 2006 at 6:21 pm
if he didnt do it, he deserves his freedom.from the looks of it, the prosecution and the police did alot to make sure this man went down which is wrong.clearing peoples records so they dont look shady to the jury?thats all bad.
March 16th, 2006 at 10:43 pm
