the 2006 version of silkk the shocka? haha…

i dont really like this guy, but some of the songs are half decent.

  2. eskay Says:

yeah I think he’s decent, but I don’t really check for him like that. I figured people might be interested, since he’s been away for a while.

  3. Rizz Says:

i know this is kinda late
but that kanye mixtape didnt work
its an rar file or whatever and it doesnt play

  4. Happy New Year Bitches! Says:

Man fuck this, don’t Bin Laden got a new mixtape? I just saw it on CNN. Fire!

Sucks about postaboy havin one nut though. I’ma pray for him.

  5. eskay Says:

Rizz, mad people downloaded that mixtape. did you extract it?

  6. KingML Says:

Yeah aight I’ve peeped it a bit more thoroughly, the title track is pretty hot with Prodigy and it must be pretty old cause Prod is still repping Infamous records.

I dont see why Jae Millz is so hyped, hes got some cam ron style lyrics, recycles content like it was plastic.

  7. negro2creep Says:

Aint he an original member of Da Band,Wasen’t that nigga sopposed to have a album about 4year ago. what was the name of that video he had? anybody know?

  8. Ill E Says:

    ^^
I remember he had that song “Jurassic Harlem” , the beat had that sample from the movie (Jurassic Park).
Posta killed that song “1 for the money” on the Nas living legends mixape.

  9. e-dubbs Says:

Posta pretty much fathered all these youngin’s on 106 & Park “Freestyle Friday”. He damn good! Doubt he will ever make an album thats 1/2 decent but when it comes to mixtape circuit, he one of the best.

  10. T Nelson Says:

when is this mixtape era going to end?

when is this mixtape era going to end?

are you out of your god damn mind? what you like the garbage machine mass prodcuced garbage climbing the billboards???? what ??? the mixtapes is solely responsible for keeping real hi-hop alive. without mixtapes most real hi-hop heads wouldnt be able to hear shit from their favorite m.c.’s the politcs affect when a record label record comes out and how it sounds so much that the mixtapes are the only place to get that piff from the streets with nothing but straight heat. joe budden has been dropping crazy mixtapes cause he doesnt kiss hov’s ass all day and hov wont put the album out but dude just dropped another mixtape (MOOD MUSIC 2 with dj On Point ) and the shit is better than any studio album i have heard in a REAL long time. without mixtapes you wouldnt get the street lox that same gutter jada and styles you get the indusrty version the watered down version. the mixtapes is straight from the mc and dj no label influence true hip-hop. also the mixtape is filled with hungry mc’s really trying to make a name for themselves and really killing it like main-o, saigon, even the boy jae mills you guys can hate but listen to his 6 minute fresstyle over the go crazy beat ( that boy kills it ) and a bunch of other shit he did they boy is nice but he doesnt make that mass produced clubby shit so labels dont want to get behind him and get him out cause there is no money in it for them from that stand point.

see T Nelson obviously your not a fan of hp-hop/rap your a fan of pop ( 50, nelly, all that sing songy garbage is pop music not hip hop) the mixtapes are 100% pure raw hip-hop its the only thing keeping hip-hop alive

  12. Rizz Says:

neither of that one or this one lets me eskay i dunno whats up with it

  13. eskay Says:

Rizz, doggie are you familiar with rar files? If not, go here: http://www.rarlab.com/rar_file.htm

  14. eskay Says:

I’m pretty sure T Nelson isn’t a pop fan, I think he’s just frustrated by the endless stream of mixtape artists that never seem to go anywhere. I understand this cuz I get kinda sick of mixtapes too sometimes, but I will agree with Tyrone that they are the last remaining source for good raw hip hop. Seriously, I’ll take a mixtape by my favorite artist over a major studio album any day of the week.

  15. TYRONEBIGGUMS Says:

I DIDNT REALLY MEAN TO GO OFF ON T-NELSON LIKE THAT BUT YOU CAN UNDERSTAND EXACTLY WHAT IM SAYING. THE THING IS TO ME HIP-HOP HAS SPLIT INTO DIFFERENT CATEGORIES YOU HAVE YOU HIP-POP AND HIP-HOP HIP-POP IS 50 NELLY EVEN KAYNE ( NOT ALL NON HIP-HOP IS WACK ITS JUST NOT HIP-HOP ) HIP-HOP IS THAT RAW GUTTER SHIT THAT USED TO BE EVERYWHERE NOW UNFORTUNITY YOU CAN ONLY FIND THAT REAL TRUE HIP-HOP IN MIXTAPE OR ON INDEPENDENT LABEL ALBUMS ( CHECK OUT ROYCE DA 5’9′S LAST COUPLE OF CDS ALL ON KOCH AND THEY WERE STRAIGHT FIRE IF HE HAD TO DEAL WITH A LABEL MOST OF THE SONGS ON THOSE ALBUMS WOULD OF PROBABLY BEEN THROWN AWAY ( AND IT PROBABLY WOULD OF BEEN THE BEST SONGS )

  16. T Nelson Says:

my thing is this on mixtapes u USUALLY get a bunch of sub-par songs maybe one or two hot joints or u get a hot mixtape from an artist thats puts out a sub-par album.. since this whole mixtape phenomenom the quality of albums has gone down….this mixtape is wack because u get a whole bunch of niggas who dont even belong in the game case in point how the fuck is Cardan on a new mixtape he was running around trying to be ma$e when he was a RugRat….. If rappers put the majority of thier energy on an album we might get more than 3 good releases a year…. AND MY MAIN BEEF WITH MIXTAPES IS THAT THESE DICK RIDING DJ’S (WHoo-Kid) DONT EVEN MIX ANYMORE…I CANT REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I HEARD A DJ CUT SOMETHING UP OR BLEND SOMETHING….

  17. T Nelson Says:

P.S. From a business stand point its stupid for rappers to do mixtapes because they get no publishing or royalties on them shyts…. i luv hip hop and know thats it shouldnt be money driven but its no good to be an ill emcee and live in yours moms basement…..

  18. TYRONEBIGGUMS Says:

ok im with you on everything you said about mixtapes i see where your coming from now. especially the parts about the dj’s not mixing clinton sparks and green lantern are the only ones who actually make MIX cd. and i feel you on lots of mixtapes haeing a bunch of bullshit filler by bullshit rappers who will never blow, but if you check for the solo release mixtapes from people like buddens mixtapes or jada or styles mixtapes or even saigons mixtapes jae millz the boy main-o, when i cop these solo mixtapes i feel like they are way better than any studio released album and if there were no mixtapes i wouldnt ever get hear any of these dudes and they are what im living of off now, without a new buddens mixtape every couple of months i would of given up on hip-hop, i never buy cds at sam goody or circuit city anymore just the corners or the internet man thats where the heat stays unfortunitly

  19. eskay Says:

I don’t know what ya’ll are talking about, there are plenty of DJ’s who still do blends, you just have to know where to look:

    http://www.mixunit.com/thediesel4.html

    http://www.mixunit.com/thewarriors.html

  20. TYRONEBIGGUMS Says:

yea they do blends but i mean when was the last time you heard someone other than lantern or clinton sparks mix a whole album of different mixtape songs. certain dj’s do blends and those are cool for what they are i like them but the blends are usually all old shit blended together like som old tupac and biggie or the last blend nas and jay together now those cds are all good shit i just ordered one last week with nas and biggie belnds, pac and big l, jay and pac all types of shit the shits hot but if you pick up a clue mixtape or a slay mixtape or any of the other djs who bring you the new exclusives they dont mix shit they just scream and yell ( kay slay makes me skipp full songs that i really like i just cant handle him screaming for 40 seconds before hand ( perfect example on one of saigons mixtapes the song contraband pt. 2 is ridiculous but slay yells about real niggas the hardest niggas this and that shut up slay, these dudes just yell or drop bombs on shit and thats what they call mixing. check out the green lantern/ jadakiss mixtape ” the champ is here ” the one that came out about a year year and half ago, that was all new material from kiss and each song was perfectly mixed and blended together thats what clinton sparks and green lantern do that no other mixtape dj’s really do

  21. eskay Says:

I hear you, but my point is there is plenty of creative shit out there, it’s not all MC Local rhyming over a played out beat.

One time my boy strongchef threw a kay slay cd he had just bought out the window of his whip ‘cuz you know how Slay be playing a snippet of a joint then he’ll be like “Fuck ya’ll niggas, you can’t have that yet!” Well that was the song he’d had bought the mixtape for specifically, so he tossed it and said never again. True story.

  22. TYRONEBIGGUMS Says:

eskay i cant tell you how many times ive done that. thats why i can feel where t nelson is coming from, like when that diamonds are forever remix with hov came out that shit was dumb hot but i could only find it on mixtapes with garbage on the rest or shit i already had so i can feel him on that and slay ruins everything as far as im concerned

  23. AtoZ Says:

royce da 5’9 is alright not the nicest dude really but im not doubtin his skill. his beat selection wasn’t the best either on his last album. but i totally agree wit hippop and hiphop. but i think there are more categories still but thats gettin down wit the nitty gritty. anyway, mainstream is fucked. u seen em girls in andre3000s shake it like a polaroid camera music video or whatever. THOSE THE KINDA GIRLS that be listenin to hippop. and them niggas like ja and 50 and nelly.

  24. TYRONEBIGGUMS Says:

    AtoZ :

you obviously grasp exactly what im saying thats why i laugh at 50 when he acts like his sales make him a better rapper when you get hip-hop heads buying your albums like crazy then you and ill emcee when little girls be buying it to shake their ass thats not hip-hop thats pop thats 50. and your defintely right about their should be more than 2 categories but i was just trying to start somewhere and thats seperateing people like 50,nelly and d4L from real hip-hop.

now about royce what was the last album your talking about because he came out with 3 indepents last year alone the last being called INDEPENDANTS DAY but the best of the 3 is defintely DEATH IS CERTAIN the shit is real dark grimey and gutter, and there is also the OFFICAL M.I.C. MIXTAPE all came out way after ROCK CITY ( which is the last royce cd most people now of and ill defintely agree with the wack beat selection on that cd

  25. kitt Says:

Mixtape is really hot, I like the freestyle Blow your mind with P-Reala and that song with Raekwon

  26. network security vpn Says:

Good writing. Do you have an RSS feed where can I suscribe? I tried using bloglines but couldn’t.

  27. N.A.T Says:

hip hop is in the clutches, too many fake muthfuckas. where the real niggas at like

nas, little brother, styles, jada, sheek, j-hood, kweli, mos def, scarface, t.i. kayne, GANG STARR,common, and the rest

AND WHERE IN THE FUCK IS THE WU. WE NEED YALL NIGGAS. RAE, GHOST,GZA, RZA,CAP,METH,DECK, MASTA KILLA, AND U GOD. RIP ODB. U FEEL ME.

  28. Cédric Says:

i think this artist is hot. his flow is sick, his punchlines too. I’m become a fan

  29. FELLYDEWELLY Says:
