The Real Killa Cam?

Those of you outside of NY may not have heard this story, but it’s been all over the local news for the past week. That gully looking dude up there fatally shot a cop in Brooklyn 10 days after critically injuring another in a failed hold up attempt. So, what we have are two cops shot in less than 2 weeks, and 1 thugged out looking black man in a wifebeater doing the perp walk out of the projects. You can just imagine how this kid is gonna be toast once he goes to court, and how, unfortunately for him, his trial-by-media is already under way.

Now, I’m not gonna get all into my own personal opinions on cops shooting people, getting shot, and the circus that passes for a justice system in this country, so let’s just say I won’t be donating to PAL anytime soon and leave it at that. But here’s my beef with the media: Where are all the outrageous descriptions and suggestive headlines when the Patrick Dorismond’s and the Timothy Stansbury’s of the world get their shit pushed back for no reason? Why are trigger happy cops given the benefit of the doubt, but not the victims of police violence? I’m just sayin.

Bearing this in mind, just imagine how happy the media must have been to learn that the suspect, Allan Cameron, was an aspiring rapper. According to this article, Cameron went by the stage name ‘Cam Killah’ (sounds familiar), and was close to signing a deal with a label called True King Records. A quick search on the internet turns up nothing on this ‘record label’ except for the stories about Cameron, so I think it’s safe to say this kid was some non-rapping wannabe with little to no chance of ever getting on. Yet, the local rags jumped on the chance to connect him in any little way to hip hop. They even managed to work the name Osama Bin Laden into the story for crying out loud. Right to a fair trial my ass.

Confessions of a Teenage Rap Slut

Fresh off her video chick audition on Jay Leno last week with Juelz Santana, Lindsay Lohan now appears to have her eye on another thugged out New York rapper. Who you ask? Who else:

From PerezHilton.com:

It was a scene out of The Surreal Life. At 3:00 AM on Saturday morning, Lindsay Morgan Lohan came strolling in like it was no shit on the set of the new 50 Cent / Mobb Deep video in the Hollywood Hills.

"No one really knew what she was doing there," one on-set snoop tells PerezHilton.com exclusively.

You may remember earlier this year a rumor was floating around that 50 was trying to get at Lindsay, but at the time she seemed more interested in meeting his boss, Eminem. Here’s what she had to say at the time:

"Black guys love me – Damon Dash, P Diddy. 50 called my agent for my number. He said he was watching Mean Girls and loved it. I was freaking out!”

"The first thing I thought was, ‘Where’s Eminem?’ I’m in love with him!"

First off, 50 has some explaining to do about loving Mean Girls, but that’s a whole ‘nother post.  Second of all, if this rumor is true, all I gotta say is this chick must be an extremely talented brain surgeon, ‘cuz other than those fake twins she rolls with, theres not a whole lot else she has going on, if you know what I mean.

Now would you leave me if you’re father found out I was thuggin’?

New Chappelle Show Episodes

Chappelle1.jpg

Comedy Central just announced that it will be airing some never before seen episodes of the Chappelle show that the comedian had shot for the doomed 3rd season. Apparently this material was shot before Dave lost his mind and  ran off to Africa for his ‘spiritual retreat’. According to MTV News, the new skits will include a spoof of the Morgan Spurlock movie Supersize Me, as well as an MTV Cribs bit. The episodes will initially air on the network’s Motherload broadband network and then on Comedy Central at some point next year.

I meant to post this a while back but you know how that goes. Classic pic of Cube choking out Lady Liberty taken by world famous hip hop photographer Ernie Paniccioli. Even though it’s anti-left coast, I’m gonna let it ride.

Loon – Dildo Hopper – Mase Diss

A new dis track from Loon aimed at the False Profit. I’m not a big Loon fan, but anybody dissing Mase is alright in my book, plus this is pretty funny stuff. Over the Window Shopper beat.

Jay-Z Sued Over Roc-A-Fella Hand Gesture

Saturday, December 3rd, 2005

jay-z_the_roc.jpg

Pro wrestler Diamond Dallas Page has filed a lawsuit in Federal Court in Los Angeles alleging copyright infringement for Hov’s use of the diamond hand gesture that has come to be the symbol of Roc-a-fella Records. Page claims that he has been using the "Diamond Cutter" signal for the last decade inside the ring and out as a trademark of his wrestling persona as well as on the cover of his recent book "Yoga for Regular Guys".

Ok, so my question is, can you even copyright a goddamn hand gesture? If so, then I’m about to register the peace sign and the middle finger, and clean up on royalties. Seriously though, this lawsuit is obviously a result of Jay’s new status as rap’s wealthiest artist. I mean if that’s not the case, then why isn’t Page suing Nas, who has clearly been throwing up the diamond since ’94.

(Props to Rizoh for the Nas pic)

PimpC.jpg

  • An article in this month’s issue of Rolling Stone takes another look at the Biggie murder and alleges an even deeper LAPD cover up, this time involving The Los Angeles Times. Read more here.
  • Pimp C is soon to be free. That’s what’s up. -  If I wasn’t rappin baby, I would still be ridin Mercedes/Chromin shinin sippin daily, no rest ’til whitey pay me.
  • It turns out Cuban is not going to G-Unit, but B.G. might be. Meanwhile, I continue not to care.
  • In a bizzare case of life imitating art, a so called ‘Eminem impersonator’ has been charged with murdering a girl and stuffing her in a suitcase, just like Stan did in the video.
  • Vince McMahon calls John Cena "My Nigga"?
  • Jay Leno doesn’t want any part of 50′s Condoms.
  • Writers Convention: A Collaborative Study of Pigments with Sacha Jenkins. A little out of my price range, but I’m especially feeling (White) House Negro.
  • New

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

? I know, I didn’t see that coming either. It’s kinda hot though, with production by Just Blaze it’s hard to go wrong.

  • Speaking of the Dips, check out their fearless leaders new chain. I understand it take 2 AAA’s and the globe spins around.
  • Finally we have a video of the original God M.C., Rakim, speaking on Eminem and how he’s one of the nicest lyricists ever.

The Game’s Stop Snitchin’ – Stop Lyin’ DVD has been pushed back to January due to "overwhelming demand". Luckily, your boy is on his job and so I bring you the whole Stop Snitchin’ – Stop Lyin’ mixtape. The intro, featuring 50 threatening little kids who went to see Chicken Little, is especially good. This guy Game is a real comedian, let me tell you.

Irv and Chris Gotti Lorenzo were acquitted of all charges in their federal racketeering and money laundering case today. It is being reported that the courtroom "erupted in applause" when the verdict was read. From SOHH:

"The jurors wanted to hug Irv and Chris, and meet their parents," said defense attorney Gerald Lefcourt outside the courthouse. "They felt a connection."
