Trick Trick is Extorting Eminem
Trick Trick, who’s album The People vs. drops today, is well known in Detroit for being a certified G. Him and his crew have notoriously banged out with Trick Daddy and D Block, and Trick himself just beat a body last year at trial. His lead single, Welcome to Detroit, features an Em verse and hook and is supposedly doing well on Detroit radio. I downloaded the track the other day to see what all the fuss was about and I was not impressed. I guess I’ve heard worse rap music in my life, but nothing about this single says ‘hit record outside of Detroit’ to me. Trick’s flow is average and his lyrics are pretty much the standard ‘I’m an O.G. who raps now’ fare that you get from these types. As I’m listening to the song it occured to me, why would Em co-sign this guy? You can say what you want about D12, and I usually do, but at the end of the day I’ll admit that most of them can actually rap. I even read in some interview with Trick Trick, that Em basically did the whole song himself. He did the beat, the hook, and his verse, put it on a cd and handed it to this guy. What part of the game is that? The only logical answer I can come up with is that Trick Trick has Hailie and Kim tied up in a basement somewhere. I mean, has anybody actually seen Kim since Em announced they were getting back together last month? Yeah, exactly. Em didn’t have verses on either Obie or Proof’s albums, and those are his right hand mans, so you do the math.

I’m from Detroit and when that song first hit radio last spring, I heard rumors about Em being forced to do the track because he owed Trick Trick (for God knows what). Apparently, Em owes shit to a few gangs/rap cliques in the D.

I’m from the D so I can actually say that Trick Trick is not at all sweet. No skillz, no voice or nothin. Em prolly owed him from his first album, Slim Shady LP. Trick Trick does have a lot of street cred, So if Em decided not to do the track, Trick could make Em’s stay in the D very miserable, ie Trick Daddy and D block.

Damn, I hate to get on the thread after an internet computer thug, but real talk is that TRICK TRICK and his goons pounded out TRICK DADDY something serious. How gangsta is that nigga TRICK TRICK?!? I did an interview with him at this theater in Detroit and that nigga didn’t even have all his teeth in his mouth.
He told me the story of TRICK DADDY trying to gangster the name TRICK from him when he was in MIAMI. TRICK TRICK said that when niggas got back to the ‘D’ they just chilled and waited for that nigga T.D. to go on tour. When T.D. came to the ‘D’ they had his azz mapped out (so official these niggas had his flight number, hotel address, showtime). When T.D. came to do his show TRICK TRICK and his entire mob shut the shit down. They was 50 deep in the club and 100 deep outside the backdoor. T.D. and his Miami dudes ran into the goons for real. TRICK TRICK said that he let the jail niggas take T.D. and his boys into the basement and steal they manhood Alcatraz style.
I am big enough to bang with any dudes jailhouse style, but these Detroit niggas made me glad that I never had to smell that part of the game.
Plus, the ‘D’ is so real. I was in the downtown area and the office buildings were bombed out like some nuclear shit. I saw a FootLocker that had the ‘Foot’ sign leaning off the facade. I hear that Flint is EVEN more f’rucked up.
