Nah Right

Rumors have been circulating about this all week but I brushed them off like, naaah no way, they can’t be that stupid at The Source to let their Editor in Chief resign over a 5 mic rating for Little Brother, and then give one to Kim for her album. But yeah, I guess they are, and I guess it shouldn’t really surprise me. I mean this is the same publication that let a 4.5 Mic rating for Made Men album slide. 

When this issue hits newstands it will mark the first ever 5 mic rating given to a woman. Ever. Now, it should be understood that I’m not being sexist or hating on Kim, but I’ve heard her first single (I think it’s the single), Shut up Bitch, and that ain’t no 5 mic material lemme tell you.  Normally I wouldn’t even listen to an entire Lil Kim album unless I had no choice, but I can’t wait to hear this shit.  I can’t wait to hear what on thisalbum could possibly make them say "5 Mics for Kim, that sounds about right".  Again, I’m not hating but let’s face it, Kim has NEVER in her career put our 5 Mic music and her shit has actually gotten worse over the years, so unless Nas ghostwrote, Kanye Ghostproduced, and Jay-z actually raps the whole album for her, I ain’t buying that shit ya’ll shovelling.

This is why Source ratings stopped meaning anything a long time ago. Then again XXL gave Tony Yayo a XXL rating so, hey what do I know.  On another note, Kimberly will be reporting to the Big House on September 19th to do her little bid. The album drops on September 13th.
