The Weeknd – M A N I A (Short Film)

Ahead of the release of his new album Starboy on Friday, The Weeknd drops his new 12-minute short film, M A N I A. The short starts out relatively low key but shit gets real about half-way through, plus it features a bunch of new music from the album as well as a cameo from the “Starboy” panther.

Watch Drake’s Short Film Please Forgive Me

Having teased it last month, Drake has released his new short film Please Forgive Me. Inspired by his album Views and directed by Anthony Mandler, the film co-stars Drake and Fanny Neguesha. It includes music videos for “One Dance, “Controlla” and “Hype” and was scored by Noah “40” Shebib.

Vince Staples – Prima Donna (Short Film)

Following last week’s release of his new Prima Donna EP, Vince Staples drops the Nabil directed short film that he shot to go along with the project. In the 9-minute clip, things get weird for Vince immediately after he leaves the set of a music video and they only get stranger as he grabs a room at the Prima Donna hotel.

Lil Yachty Drops Short Film, New Mixtape Summer Songs 2

The new FADER produced short film Keep Sailing tells the story of Lil Yachty’s life up to this point and his unlikely rise to fame over the last several months. It features music from his new mixtape, Summer Songs 2, including the just released “So Many People”. Watch above and stream the project, which features guest appearances from G Herbo, Offset and Burberry Perry, now via Apple Music.

Today he drops the third and final installment of his short film series, which doubles as the visual for “Black THoughts (Pt. 3)”. At first glance it seems like Q has overcome the struggle he experienced in the first two episodes, until the camera pans out. Watch above.

After laying my eyes on the Blank Face tracklist, one of the tracks that immediately jumped out at me was “Tookie Knows 2,” seeing as the original is one of my favorite Q songs of ALL TIME. Today he drops part 2 of his Blank Face short film series which also doubles as a world premiere of the track and its music video. Traffic and TF appear as guests. Blank Face impacts July 8th.

Here’s what appears to be the first installment of the short film Q teased in his Blank Face album trailer. Taking its name from track 8 on the album, the clip features Q and some of his homies kicking it around the area of 51st and Hoover, getting kicked out the crib and checking out some jewelry at the pawn shop. Be sure to watch to the end for a teaser and music video for the film’s title track which features some vocals by Kendrick Lamar.

Curren$y & Sledgren – REVOLVER (Short Film)

Curren$y and Sledgren have been teasing their collaborative project REVOLVER for some time now, and Spitta recently announced that it would be arriving today. True to his word, he drops the CJ Wallis directed short film of the same name. The film showcases 6 new tracks from Spitta and the Taylor Gang producer and co-stars Cornerboy P, Mr. Marcelo, Mousa and various other Jets. The film also stars T.Y., Young Juvie & Lil Soulja Slim, the sons of B.G., Juvenile and Soulja Slim, respectively. Watch above and stay tuned for an audio version of REVOLVER.
