Nas Premieres New J Dilla Collab “The Sickness” at SXSW

Last night at Mass Appeal’s Live at the BBQ showcase at SXSW, Nas previewed a new track called “The Sickness” that finds him trading verses with the late J Dilla. The song, produced by Madlib, will appear on the upcoming Dilla Rap album The Diary, which arrives next month. The track was not previously included on the tracklist, so I presume it’s one of the two bonus tracks that you see on the iTunes listing.

Watch Sean Price Preview Music From Songs In The Key of Price

During a recent taping of producer Mr. Green’s “Live From The Streets” series (which I’m sure turned out amazing), Sean P previewed some new music from Songs In The Key of Price for Green. The mixtape will be available this Thursday on iTunes or through the Duck Down webstore, and trust me, hardcore P fans will not be disappointed.

In the latest episode of Spitta’s Jetflix vlog series, we join him for his performance at the Cannabis Cup competition in San Francisco. Smoke DZA makes a cameo and DJ Duffey holds down the turntables. Throughout the video, we get previews of 3 new tracks from the upcoming Revolver EP which is produced entirely by Taylor Gang’s Sledgren.

Vic Mensa ft. Kanye West – U Mad (Preview)

Last night during a performance, Vic Mensa performed “U Mad”, his collaboration with Kanye that the pair first performed at KoKo in London back at the beginning of March. During the performance he let the Kanye verse ride and a fan captured some pretty clear audio and video of the whole thing. Check it out above.

Apparently Canibus has a new project on deck for a May 12th release. TFLDPR, or Time Flies, Life Dies, Phoenix Rise, will feature appearances from Raekwon, Killah priest, Kurupt, Pete Rock, Craig G, Bronze Nazareth and others. Check out the sampler above.

Last night in Brooklyn, Mass Appeal hosted a special fan appreciation event celebrating the release of the new Run The Jewels 2 album from Killer Mike and El-P. The get togetherch featured a sit-down with the pair moderated by Sacha Jenkins and a screening of the classic flick The Warriors. Mass Appeal Records investor Nas stopped by the venue to show Mike and El-P some love and joined them on-stage. During the session, he premiered a new track called “The Season” which he laid over J Dilla’s “Gobstopper” instrumental. Check it out above.
