Nas for The Timberland Legends Club

In this new animated short from Timberland and Foot Locker, Nas recalls cultivating a love for the power of Jazz on the strength of his father Olu Dara’s career as a musician and trumpeter. This is for the new campaign to promote Timberland’s Vol. VII FlyRoam sneaker boot, part of their Legends Collection, available at Footlocker on September 30th.

Watch a Promo for Drake’s New OVO Store in Toronto

This weekend, Drake will launch a new OVO flagship store in Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre, and today he helps build anticipation for the opening with a new promo video. The minute long clip features Drizzy and the team mobbing through the mall, SUV and all, while he performs bars from “Gyalchester,” off the More Life project.

Drake and his dad Dennis Graham star in a couple of hilarious new ads for the rapper’s new line of whiskey, Virginia Black. The spots riff on the Most Interesting Man in The World campaign from Dos Equis beer, with Mr. Graham serving as “The Realest Dude Ever.”

Spike Lee, Q-Tip, Grandmaster Flash Announce NYC as Host of 60th Grammys

This week, the Recording Academy announced New York City as the host city for the 2018 Grammy awards ceremony, which will mark the 60th anniversary of the biggest awards in the music business. To go along with the announcement, Spike Lee created this short called “NY Stories” which features an array of legendary New York artists highlighting historic locales throughout the 5 boroughs that hold a special place in the history of modern recorded music. Q-Tip appears in front of A Tribe Called Quest’s alma mater Murry Bergtraum High School and Joan Jett shouts out the John Varvatos store that used to be CBGB’s, while both Queensbridge and Marcy projects also get mentions.

The 60th Grammys will be broadcast from Madison Square Garden on January 18, 2018.

Watch A$AP Rocky’s New Mercedes-Benz Commercial

Here’s A$AP Rocky appearing in a new Mercedes-Benz spot called “Grow Up And Get A Job”, which is part of a larger “Grow Up” advertising campaign from the German automaker. In the two and a half minute spot, Rocky talks about a beat that remained stuck in his head throughout his childhood and how the loss of his older brother, and that same beat, drove him to pursue more out of his life.

Watch Lil Wayne’s “Champagne Calls” Samsung Ad

In a new ad that is an extension of the Weezy cameo in another recently released Samsung TV spot, Wayne and his boys marvel at how he can dump an entire bottle of bubbly on his waterproof Galaxy S7 and still make calls.

Nas Narrates a U.S. Open Commerical for ESPN

Nas narrates a new TV spot for ESPN’s coverage of the upcoming U.S. Open tournament, which kicks off this Sunday in his home borough of Queens. This year Serena Williams will attempt to further solidify her GOAT status and become the first woman since Steffi Graf in 1988 to complete the Grand Slam cycle and take the top prize in each of the 4 major tournaments. She’s already won the Australian and French Opens and Wimbeldon, she just needs to prevail in NYC to complete her historic run.
