Rhythm Roulette with London On Da Track

Trap maestro London On Da Track is the latest participant in Mass Appeal’s ‘Rhythm Roulette’ challenge. After grabbing records by Phyllis Hyman, Rahsaan Roland Kirk and Jesse Saunders, London ends up manipulating a sample of Kirk’s uptempo instrumental cover of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” into a slow crawling slapper.

Chase N. Cashe is a big fan of Mass Appeal’s Rhythm Roulette series, so it was only right he came through to participate in the challenge. After selecting records by The Section, Steppenwolf and Steve Winwood, he utilizes elements from all three to make a slow crawling, 808-laced banger.

A$AP Mob’s P on The Boards is the latest producer to try his hand at Mass Appeal’s Rhythm Roulette challenge. After hitting up Academy Records in New York, the young producer wades through some truly struggle records in search of a viable sample. He eventually lands on a couple of elements from two different records which he proceeds to chop up and sprinkle with some drums.

UK producer Beat Butcha, whose name you might recognize from his work with the likes of Prodigy, Lloyd Banks and the late great Sean Price, takes part in Mass Appeal’s Rhythm Roulette challenge. After selecting records by Mantus, Raphael Saadiq and The Dell’s, he manages to put together a banger using elements from all three.

Rhythm Roulette with Thelonious Martin

Chicago’s Thelonious Martin is the latest producer to shwocase his talents on Mass Appeal’s “Rhythm Roulette” series. After hitting up New York’s A1 Records and randomly selecting records by The Pointer Sisters, Hott City and Maxine Nightingale, he drops some drums on a hazy sample and cooks up a thumper.
