Kendrick Lamar – “DNA” & “HUMBLE” (Live at the VMAs)

Kendrick Lamar, who lead this year’s MTV Video Music Awards nominations with 8, opened up the show on Sunday night with a fiery performance of “DNA” and “HUMBLE”. K.Dot would go on to win the Best Hip-Hop Video for “HUMBLE”.

    Kendrick’s live show is on god status now.

    Only interesting thing is, you can still see how introverted he is, in the sense that he does not seem to acknowledge the audience at all, other than one part where he pauses his vocals for them to say “my left stroke just went viral.” He could just as well be rapping in rehearsal. I imagine that could have something to do with the dynamics/makeup/energy level of the crowd.

    @spirit equality I was at his concert last Thursday and it was very similar. He spoke briefly to the crowd 1-2 times max. Amazing concert overall, but I wish he would acknowledge the audience a bit more. But whatever, Kdot is focused and not there to make friends, haha.
