Lil Wayne’s Prison Memoir Gone ‘Til November Arrives This Fall

Waaaay back in 2012, it was reported that Lil Wayne would be releasing a book chronicling the 8 months he spent locked up on Riker’s Island during 2010. At the time, Gone ‘Til November was described by Grand Central Publishing as “revealing” and based largely on detailed journals Wayne kept throughout his stay in New York City’s most notorious jail. Years have since passed, Wayne has survived multiple seizures and is in the midst of a financial battle with Baby, and pretty much everybody had forgotten about this thing until last week. Now, the book finally has a release date of October 11th via new publisher Penguin, and today they revealed the cover art.

As to what we can expect from the book, I’m guessing we’re in for a bunch of Deep Thoughts from Weezy. You may recall he maintained a website during his incarceration where his team posted the occasional letter-to-the-fans  and he thanked followers for their support and sold them merch and what not. He’s spoken on his bid a few times since coming home but I would imagine he’s still got some pretty interesting stories from his time inside. If you recall he got caught with an mp3 player and ended up having to do some time in solitary. He played a bunch of UNO and read a bunch of fan mail. But jail is jail man, and no matter who you are it’s mostly a bunch of sitting around and looking at walls. The book is available for pre-order on Penguin’s website.
