Nia Long Talks Rap Lyric References by ATCQ, J.Cole

Nia Long, muse to multiple generations of rappers and regular Joes in general, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and Jimmy asked her about a number of the references artists have made to her in lyrics over the years. They discuss the late Phife Dawg’s line on “Steve Biko (Stir It Up),” J. Cole’s more recent reference on “No Role Modelz,” and of course the classic lyric by Horse of The Bravehearts on Nas’ “Oochie Wally.” Incidentally, she says she went out and bought a cherry thong after hearing that last one, and it ended up helping her land her husband. So blame Nas and Horse for Nia not being single.
