Chance The Rapper Interview with Zane Lowe

chance-zane

With his excellent Coloring Book mixtape disseminating nicely through the streets and interwebs, and a slick new Apple Music commercial running on TV, Chance The Rapper sits down with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio. The hour long chat encompasses the new project, his relationship with Kanye West and the work they did on The Life of Pablo, how he turned down a G.O.O.D Music deal, the mythic Good Ass Job album, his distaste for the machinations of modern record labels and the possibility of a project from himself and Jay Electronica.

Listen below.

UPDATED: Here’s the isolated audio of Chance playing the OG versions of “Waves” and “Famous,” on which he originally appeared via Complex

What’s good Frankie, check out Acid Rap and Coloring Book. With Coloring Book check out any track with a brand name, I’d say check out the Future and JE tracks. I don’t think he’s your lane Frankie lol

Who you got in the WCF, gotta roll with OKC

LMAO labels can’t figure out how to break any new artists, but y’all think they can figure out how to break an artist “secretly”? LOL!!! Get outta here…Chance is a smart kid who figured out his fanbase and who puts passion into his music and his live show. No surprise that he’s successful.
