Maybe one day when the politics no longer matter and the statutes of limitations have expired I’ll tell this story from our perspective, but until then.

, the hip-hop blog as it became known by the end of the decade was created by Eskay on nahright.com in May 2005 and perfected within the next two years. Simple and straightforward, his template became the baseline upon which the hip-hop blogosphere, and ultimately hip-hop media more broadly, was built

    That’s a fact tho.

He hasn’t done much since but you can never take away what Eskay & NahRight meant to the culture.

I never commented but ever since 2006 I started [almost] each day by praying, reading my bible and checking Nah Right for the latest hip hop tracks. Appreciate the site Eskay! Respect. *Salute*

I was just thinking about NMC the other week and wondering where it stood in the scheme of music. It’s easy to forget with the carbon copies of this format around the internet but buddy started all this. And Nate if you reading this you was that nigga too.
What other hip hop site actually dedicated a post to supporters of their blog rapping over the insane internet moment that was Exhibit “C”?! Who does that?
Respect always Eskay. You still can’t out bogey the gawd but that ain’t what this is about.
