Kendrick Lamar Releases Untitled Unmastered EP

Back in December of 2014 Kendrick Lamar performed a track called simply “Untitled” on one of the final episodes of The Colbert Report and it was absolutely incredible. Since then, he has blessed us with performances of two other non-album tracks, colloquially referred to as “Untitled 2 (Blue Faces)” and Untitled 3,” during recent appearances on The Tonight Show and at this year’s Grammy’s ceremony. Each performance has been more powerful and transcendent than the last, leading many of us to ask: what other gems does K.Dot have stashed away?

Following his decimation of the Grammy stage last month, a Kendrick fan from Cleveland pleaded with TDE boss Top Dawg to please release these tracks to the public for our collective listening pleasure:

Tonight, that request is being granted in the form of a new 8-track EP from Kendrick called Untitled Unmastered.

Earlier this week, Top Dawg announced that a new TDE project would be arriving this week. I figured maybe it would be the new project from Isaiah Rashad, or possibly Ab-Soul’s album, but never in my wildest dreams did I expect this. The album is available now to purchase on iTunes and we’ve included a Spotify stream below that will hopefully become available soon. Who knows what gems this thing is going to hold, but if those first three tracks are any indication, this is going to be a hell of a listen.
