Kendrick Lamar Covers Rolling Stone


Having now revealed the title, artwork and release date for his new album, To Pimp A Butterfly, Kendrick Lamar is in full album release mode. Which is to say he’s still being mysterious and elusive with details. He graces the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone which goes on sale at the end of this week and according to a preview post on their site, they joined him in the studio as he was wrapping up the album. He played six songs for writer Josh Eells, which the publication notes, range from “intensely personal to the swaggeringly aggressive”. About the meaning behind the album’s title, K.Dot only offered, “That will be taught in college courses someday”.
