Let me find out there’s a Roc Marci VEVO page. As of right now, there are no music videos on it, but recently, a handful of interview segments of him chopping it up with 247HH were uploaded. Watch above to hear Roc discuss the importance of growing as an artist, and after the jump, he reminisces back to his first studio session that generated a paycheck as well as a situation overseas where he had to confront a promotor. Plus, he talks about his passion for beats and rhymes, how he creates his music, the best piece of advice he ever received, and his take on the recent Mike Brown and Eric Garner deaths.
Oh, and as a bonus of sorts, we’ve included some recently uploaded crowd footage (below the interview clips) of Roc spitting an exclusive acapella freestyle at his summer ’14 show in Philly. Shouts to Freeway in the shot, too.
Al-Doe is the epitome of New York but not the “New York rapper.” The 29-year-old Bronx native’s early roots in the entertainment biz came far from the hallways of Big Apple project houses and high school lunch tables. Instead, his story began through a visual medium.
You see Al is Puerto Rican. It’s something that has been both a help and a hinder for him. He got a lot of his initial exposure as an actor during his childhood. Being featured in both soap operas and primetime TV programming, Al-Doe got a taste of the big time before he was even a teenager. It wouldn’t be until much later that he would even pick up a mic and rap.
In the latest installment of DayToday, Wiz brings out the ’68 Camaro out for the “So High” video and shoots his part for Hardo’s “Mo Money” before heading to Utah for a performance. Look out for an ILOVEMAKONNEN cameo.
Here’s the second new visual from H-Town OG Z-Ro from his new project, Melting The Crown.

A Jay Z controlled company called Project Panther Bidco is reportedly in the process of acquiring two European music streaming services at a cost of $56 million according to reports. The two services, WiMP and Tidal, are currently owned by Sweden based company Aspiro and are direct competitors with streaming giant Spotify. I’m not sure what the usage numbers are like for these two services, but when you compare the $56 million price tag to the $3 billion Apple paid for Beats Music, it seems like Jay got himself quite the deal here. Then again, I’m not sure why he even bothered, considering Flex is about to shut his entire operation down.
Hit the jump for a statment from Panther Bidco on the purchase.
Following the fatal hit and run incident that he was involved in yesterday in Compton, Suge Knight surrendered to police early this morning and was charged with murder. He is being held on $2 million bail. TMZ has more details about the incident and why Suge was charged with murder even though they don’t think he intended to kill Terry Carter, who was actually travelling with Suge in his vehicle prior to the altercation. UPDATED: Suge was officially charged on Monday.
UPDATED: According to sources close to Suge, he was in Compton looking to squash his long-running beef with Dr. Dre when things got out of control:
Shortly before the collision, Suge had gone to another location where the commercial for “Straight Outta Compton” was being shot and got into a physical push and shove with Dr. Dre’s security. Some off-duty officers saw the altercation and ordered Suge to leave.
Our Suge sources say a short time later Terry Carter called Suge and said he had contacted Dre and was told to bring Suge by the next location where they could work out their problems. Suge says he took Carter up on the offer, believing it would be a peaceful meeting, but when he arrived he got jumped before he even got out of his truck.
