Audio: Funkmaster Flex Sends Shots at Jay Z, Life+Times

During his show last night, Flex hopped out of a window and made Jay Z and his Life+Times website the target of one of his signature bomb punctuated rants. I guess Flex did an interview with the site at some point during which he was asked several questions about his iOS/Android app that never made it into the story for whatever reason. On top of that, Flex says somebody from Jay’s site reached out to him looking to do an interview about his involvment in the Dipset reunion, which left him understandably confused seeing as he’s been told that he’s not allowed to play any Dipset records when he spins at Jay’s 40/40 club. During the rant, he calls Life+Times “trash” and declares that they can’t fuck with him when it comes to the web. Then he plays “Just Fire” for good measure!

You can hear the full rant below, starting at about the 10:30 mark.

I don’t know that the situation Flex describes warranted an on-air rant, but bless him for keeping shit interesting out here. All I’m gonna say is he should’ve used the “You Gotta Love It” instrumental for background.

Jay should get together an investment group to buy Hot 97 from Emmis, just for the sake of it.
