The honorable jay e can bring life to anything with one verse
This thread may crack 50 comments. So I’d have to agree.
Whattup cypher .. I didn’t really come to eulogize . I just wanted to see what some people thought of this track and everybody on twitter was basically shitting on it. I needed a different perspective … U know, not just blind hate.
So I stopped by here bc everyone knows nah is a great place for objective unbiased opinions
some parts good other parts great. but then again maybe the parts that evoke emotion for me are different for other people. i guess its just how a person chooses to perceives it. but then again if you use that type of logic every thing is hot and trash at the same time (spock voice)
It’s funny how little Jay Electronica has benefited from his signing with Jay-Z, Jay-Z himself doesn’t appear to have benefited other than discouraging the relationship that Nas and Electronica were building. Also Microphonixxx – Dark Moon/Park Ave is available now, just click on my name cause my name is my name
Say what you will about his, um, output, when he puts something out, it sounds good. I’d rather wait for good music than have to wade through a bunch of nonsense. Dude consistently drops music I *want* on my hard drive, while other artists drop that “delete file” music LMAO.
As a side note, most artists drop something on Nah and the whole C-section doesn’t even talk about the song. When Jay Elec drops, people on Nah actually talk about the music presented. That’s a W in and of itself.
That first vocal sample, is that Elijah talking about WD Fard?
Sounds almost like Jay Elec’s response to people asking why he takes so long between joints…
Side LMAO to folks always demanding an album. The first six years of rap music on wax (1979-1985), an album was a rare thing. Nowadays, no one even buys albums. Add this joint to your hard drive and STFU. LMAO
When it comes to Jay Elec, we all understand he doesn’t release the volume that fickle rap/hip hop fans have come to demand to quench the ignorant thirst. But this brilliant mind is the epitome of Quality over Quantity.
That is all. – X
