In The Lab with Troy Ave

I’m proud of Troy Ave. Sometimes you identify an artist that you feel is talented and has potential to do big things, but you never really know if they’re gonna follow through or even get the opportunity to try. I’m proud of Troy, because through dedication and independent hustle he’s made those opportunities for himself. Fresh off his undeniably solid new project New York City: The Album, we caught up with Troy to get the inside story on his writing and recording process, how he chooses beats and his experiences meeting and working with OGs such as Prodigy and Raekwon. He also speaks on getting that New York radio love and gave us some intel on his next mixtape, White Christmas 2.
