This record was a monster. A dope video for it dropped right after Stay Schemin started losing heat and Ross wouldn’t have even had to have released that week ass album.

Cyhi is a lot nicer than Sean. I don’t think people like his voice, but son got bars and flow. That Jack Of All Trades still get rotate. He got some decent music.

  53. Jacques Derrida Says:

    I think I’m being trolled but…

Spitta brand of lifestyle music was unique to him.

He fathered the show that brought the audience stalley and dom now cater too.

  54. Jacques Derrida Says:

    Cyhi has bars

    But post me a single

If you want to be Medium Sean status

    You need a single

  55. TS-LTE Says:

Big Sean adlibs always sound hella girly to me. I can’t take too much of it. That “oh Gawd” and that “I dew iiiiiiiiittt”…… Smh. He sounds like a fucking flamboyant gay ass nigga.

That don’t impress me much. ehh dude is like a boring version of big sean imo and i cant stand big sean past his 2nd mixtape. I always forget that cyhi is on tracks.

Definitely. Rap has essentially sounded like one, long remix to Hard in the Paint for 3 years now.

  58. b-ease Says:

Charles Hamilton had a huge impact on current rap too. No Kendrick or Lil B without him.

    ’03.

    The Roc
    The Diplomats
    Pre-skateboard Weezy
    Fabulous was making his rounds
Joe Buddens was actually making good music
    Kanye was hot
    Lupe was hitting the underground
    Lyricist Lounge
Jeezy and Gucci came in the game together

    Sound reasoning

I was to young to really appreciate that era

    kudos

  69. TS-LTE Says:

Shit man, in ’03, 50 was lighting up the charts and didnt look like he was gonna stop.

    The Game was ill
    G-Unit was going hard.

DJ Drama mixtapes was hitting the streets hardbody.

Ghost was making rounds and shutting it down.

    Murs dropped 3:16

The U.N. was killing it. Lebron James was on ROC mixtapes talking shit.

    Rap beef was actually entertaining.

  70. AR-Clip Says:

I never understood rapper x sounds like y talk when they say sound. Nothing a like

  71. AR-Clip Says:

    ^
I wouldn’t say he fathered any lanes though. The whole weed and laid back raps trend that wiz does too he just helped bring back but (to me at least) is nothing new. Dom has been doing his thing before PT1 and thanks to the blogs, fairfax blvd., and LA being a relevant hip hop city again made the audience focus on Dom. Stalley always been the same rapper since his days at Alife in NY doing rappity rap shit before PT1 too.

  76. Gregory Hines Says:

Spittas more lyrical but Dom makes better songs
    Both got dope beats
